i wasnt able to get all my plans put together there and then either and did this...had a proper car ramp to lift the car over my head to use...big bonus...!5 out of the 6 bolts snapped from the cat/turbo exhaust flange join and didnt have the right tools at hand...nightmare..many hours were wasted h...

if however your on a limited budget the unichip will give you a safe 280 or 290 bhp at the flywheel with no other mods and if in the future you add other mods then it is a simple 1 hour rolling road session to integrate the mods into the unichip to up your bhp and the general running off the car,hop...

i had to change mine on my old mr2,busy at the time so put it into a garage,took them 3 days....!in fairness they charged me 1 days labour but after that experience all im saying is be carefull.

just leave the gear linkage where it is when you disconect it(neutral inside the car)the bolts that are prone to snapping are the ones conecting the cat to the (piping between the turbo and cat)been there,done it,pain in the a*** without the right tools...good luck

is it possible to change the headgasket in a rev 3 turbo without removing the engine,also where would i be able to buy a s/s one,how much and what is the diference in sizes,i.e. 1.2mm or 1.6mm,many thanks to any responses

go down to a local welder,i.e.sheet metal workers or the likes(plenty about)remove the original dump valve,take the piping off(takes about 5 mins)then get them to weld 2" or so of aliminium piping into the hole,make sure you remember to get a lip around the end and hey presto...!uve now got the...

standard rev 3 internals,airfilter,uprated exhaust,decatted,uprated clutch,hybrid turbo ct20 stage 3,fse fuel regulater,uprated intercooler,s/s headgasket,uprated plugs,leads etc...have a dastek unichip,should i fit this and map it.if so what kind of power could i expect at the fly, or buy a new ape...

accelerating hard in third,clutch in and then into forth,clutch out and gear poping into neutral..every other gear change is fine.somtimes you can engage fourth gear and if it goes in then it stays there no problem.removing engine shortly as to add several upgrades so ny advice on how this could be ...

had a similar problem with my old rev 1 turbo,turned out to be a little bit of oil coming through from the turbo.try giving ur piping and throttle body a good clean with a new jubilee clip,hopefully that will sort it out for you..

permanent power loss after overboosting
have a rev 3 turbo.been running higher boost for a few months now.somtimes overboost detected by ecu but after a recent overboost detection(34)ive lost more than half the cars power.boost gauge still reads 14 psi but every time i accelerate hard it feels like the car has 100bhp.the car still drives ...
