Had to do a quick 50 mile trip tonight and just got home. When I was half way back my heaters suddenly went cold..I nearly bloody froze out there tonight. Got off the motorway and noticed my temp guage was only 2 notches below the red. I havent had any problems with the car before and it has started...

Re: de-frosting my 2

Pain in the ar$e. Then water starts to drip on your head as the t-bar glass finally starts to defrost.. Glad I have my works van, just leave the 2 at home. Hate driving it in the winter conditions to be honest, always feel like the weather is eating away at it and it`s just not fun! Need a garage b...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Locking door with key - only one side locks

My rev 1 was the same when I got it. I stripped down the drivers door panel and if you trace the wires there is a sensor that clips on to the inside of the drivers door lock that registers you locking the door and sends a signal to the other door to lock as well. When I got mine half the clip was br...

Re: Fuel - How many miles to a tank do you get?

I seem to have a bit of a super car when it comes to mpg, although it is far from super on power!!

My MR2 is just for work, I do 50 miles of m/way each day and if I take it easy in busy trafic I get 10 miles per litre, So for 50 quid of fuel I would get 500 miles. Drains it fast round town though.

[Mk2] [Generic] adding a drivers side sub to a rev 1

so my mk2 rev1 only has a passenger side sub, behind the drivers seat is a lockable storage box. I have today acquired a drivers sub from a rev 2 and want to wire it in. I have removed the box that is there at the moment and found no wiring for another sub. I think im correct in saying that these ar...

How the hell do I get it off

rev 1 interior mirror, disappears inside the cover with the interior lights built in it on the roof and I assume this needs to be removed to change the mirror. How do I get it off?? I have been pulling on the cover as there are no visible fixings and it just feels like its gonna snap off. Do I just ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Help needed

it is a diffrent colour yea, the cenre panel of the rear lights will need to be painted, I need to get the car home so will just fit the rear lights into place so legal to drive and will sort later. I am hoping there are 2 keys to the car so I can nick one of them to keep in the boot lock. Out of al...

I work for a car dealership and have taken in a rev 3 MR2 on the scrappage scheme and have the day off work tomorrow of which I will be spending the day in the works co...

Re: scary noise...help needed

a lot of time road testing and putting on ramps in the garage and managed to trace the noise to the brake caliper. Becuase my rear discs are warped they have been moving the caliper slightly when braking, this in turn has been letting small amounts of air into the top joint of the caliper/carrier an...

scary noise...help needed

ok, so ive started getting a knocking from the osr wheel of the mr2 Noise only happens when braking and noticable at slower speeds, although I think this is due to less road noise more than anything. I did a seal kit in my rear brakes 3000 miles ago as osr was seized and thought it might have gone a...

Re: electric aerial...some help please

Couldnt find anything at twosrus for aerials.

Have been looking about and quite like the look of the shark fin aerials if I decide to move it to the roof, If I move the wiring so it is all in the cabin I should get beter reception too as it wont go near the engine.
