Re: Black Limited??

I think that they possibly carried the black limited on to the supercharger as well  Wishful thinking, I'm feeling... :-k Mind you, I have the ultra-rare "Stealth" edition.. :D ......and its a S/C 8) : http://www.dyn-evo.com/stealth3small.JPG http://www.dyn-evo.com/stea...

Re: Black Limited??

Hmmm....Been looking into this "Black Limited" business: Dont get TOO excited....looking at the brochure pix above, its just the Pre-87 NA Mk1a...Look at the engine cover and the wheels...not an SC..... The bottom one is a rather nice custom jobbie... :D Oh...while we're here, can a...

Re: Another wheels question!

Make sure you get the correct wheelbolts with your new alloys, dude: matter of life and death..!

The retailer should also be able to sell you the right bolts: only use the original bolts if you're sure they are the correct seating type.

Re: My car is illegal cos my dampner settings are too stiff :S

Interesting angle on this suspension thing.....: Does this mean then, that if you were to ,say, fit solid metal bars in place of your shocks, and put big tyres on the car, giving yourself at least SOME shock absorbing capacity, you would fail the MOT? I thought the test was to check that the absorbe...

Re: New and different mods

Engine lid was fabbed from alu sheets, using a severely butchered NA lid as a framework..... Makes a big improvement in airflow through the engine bay... I did once (well, for a weekend, anyway..!), fit a high-level LED brake light inside the vent! When I braked, it glowed like a jet engine... :D 8)...

Re: Steering Column lower Joint/Shaft

Ahh....! I had exactly this problem on my first N/A: failed the MOT due to it, in fact  Solution.....take it all apart, clean all the rubber / grease, etc off.....smother it all in silicone sealant, reassemble...and when its all set (24 hours), it will be just fine.. :D Total cost: around a fiv...

Re: Mk1 Carbon / LED rear clusters...

Now cams and TB's appeal to me  I dont think i'll take my tuning much further as regards engine internals, though... Everyone seems to be ditching the 4AG engine and sticking tubby/V6 lumps in the back! It seems there is a craze for power, but the 4A engine in a mk1 chassis has load...

Re: insurance - how can i find out what immobiliser i have?

I recently had the same sort of problem looking for insurance for my S/C conversion.... Adrian Flux, however do a self-certify scheme....... If you fit an M1600 Cat 2 immob: http://www.microscanalarms.co.uk/system/index.htm ..and say it was fitted to the car when you bought it, should be OK.....

Re: winding back the clock

I recently fitted another dash to my Mk1 conversion (with indiglo white dials! 8) ) I purchased a "spare" unit off Ebay, so I could tinker with it a bit, and decided to set the odometer to zero, reflecting mileage since my conversion was finally completed. It has had an MOT since, and it i...

Re: IMOC Ring Trip - 25-29 August

Come on, people: give Lauren a break! They've just returned from a great trip to the "greatest motor racing circuit in the world": who wouldn't be on a bit of a high? So, they broke the speed limit: we ALL do that occasionally...So what? Everyone got back in one piece: no damage to cars, p...
