Nice work Sarah!
It really surprised me just how bl00dy loud the black Rogue mk2 is as it goes by you at full chat, and you're at 6.5 - 7k ish RPM!

Re: Brands Hatch full race footage in-car 23(MR2 CHALLENGE)
please re look at the vid and re asses the situation! with full awareness of what is happening to the right & the left!
if you watch the video you can clearly see the car to my left is making ALL the manuevers i am pinned against the car on my right with no were to go so I hit the brakes!!!!!!
i am not pointing fingers.
as no drivers were called to the clerk of the course it was ruled as a racing incident!

Yeh.....Classic piece of footage....!
Shows the excitement of Mk1 racing to the full.....!
Might even give it a go myself, one day....
But then again..... I may just stick to RD3... !!

Is that RD3 as in toca 3? If so you need to get online... there is much fun to be had.

Out of interest what setup do you use to record the footage, it's very good quality?

you get what you pay for!
I belive the mount is alot of it as it is damped with high grade nylock bushes for anti-shock...mount is under £100
I already had the camcorder this was my own choice as I am a novice photographer with Cannon SLR kit etc and Cannon is my weapon of choice always.

I almost bought an 350d recently but decided to spend the money sorting out the brakes on my car
I know their SLR's are one of their best quality but i always thought sony was the king of moving video.

I use the Sony DCR-PC8E mini DV cam:
I used to use a bullet camera feeding the Sony, but the picture quality wasn't great. My camera is hard mounted to the chassis and any vibration damping is done by the camera. I prefer this as you'll actually see some movement of the chassis independantly of the camera in my videos (check the relative position of the igntion cut-off and extinguisher stockers on the dashboard to the edge of the frame) and this helps to convey the g-forces the car is subjected to.
For the last couple of races at Snetterton this year I'm going to talk to Paul Port about installing the multi-camera setup we had at RaceCar Live! last year. One camera point forwards, one backwards and one on the driver's nifty footwork!
