Great timing on this thread - I'm about to take my offside front wing tonight for tinworm treatment.

Re: My new addition

Hey Garrick! Yeah, I know what you (and Lauren) mean about the straightline thing, but will see how things go when I get some more time on my hands this summer...and then a trailer to carry the car! Still early days... 8) driving up and down a runway As opposed to just 'round and round a track'? :wi...

My Rev 3 tubby never seems to have an issue at MOT time; gutted cat and Nur Spec exhaust, too.

Re: My new addition

Are you any good at welding? or are you gettign replacement new panels? I've never touched a welder in my life, but I think that's about to change this year! Looking at the car again tonight (had to turn it round to get the tubby out), I guess that I've got to do a mixed bag of welding and re...

Re: My new addition

Thanks for the encouragement/info Jo! :thumleft: After much inspection tonight, it needs too much doing to it to warrant taking the tubby off the road. Two new front wings (they're absolutely rotten throughout), the rear arches need much attention, four new tyres, and the 2nd and 4th gear sele...

Re: Cosmos Blue T2 IMOC - Up to date Spring time pics

Nice buy Rowland! Blimey - I don't log in to IMOC for a couple of months, and come back to find Frank has sold his motor...at least it has gone to a good home. Oh, and ignore what he says about the house in the pictures being a stately home...Mr Woolley is bloody loaded (that's just his weekend 'pad...

Re: My new addition

Wow! Thanks for your responses, guys (and gals!)! I wasn't really expecting it! LOL :thumleft: The only photos I have are from the seller's original advert: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i128/SnowmanUK/Mk1/MR2800.jpg Surprisingly nippy for a 1.6, and I now take back everything I said previously ...

My new addition

Well, after seven years and three Mk2s, I've finally bought myself a Mk1! White, F-reg, leather interior, and a T-bar jobbie. Amazing - four MR2s and (completely unintentionally) three of them happen to be white... She has the usual rusty arch issues and cold idles at 2000rpm, but has a Toyota servi...

You're more than welcome to come along to the next one, as it's always good to meet new bods and their MR2s. I was hoping some of the Concrete Cows crew would've turned up at the last one, but plenty of opportunity in the future!

Re: Northants meet

We were really impressed with 1320 Autos when Kloot and I went for our power runs there. The guys kept apologising for the state of the place (they're in the process of changing the site from a scrapyard to their garage/rolling road centre), but we couldn't give a monkeys as their knowledge is spot-...

Re: Northants meet

so wens the next 1? we need 2 get these numbers up lol =D> It'd be great to meet up on a regular basis (monthly?), and I think someone was suggesting Santa Pod as a possible meeting point for the next one. We've already spoken to the guys at '1320 Autos' about doing a rolling road shootout & ba...

Re: Pics from Northants Meet - 11th Feb 07

What a great meet! Always nice to see the Mk1s there, too, as it's usually dominated by Mk2s. And finally a massive thanks to Sidewinder for lending me his clear indicator inserts for my MOT retest which is tomorrow \:D/ .. Not a problem, chap - glad I could help a fellow MR2 owner! I won't be using...

LOL I've never been there!

Since moving here about six months ago, I very rarely go as far west as Northampton, so am still a noob to the area!

Where's the best place to meet within the complex?

1pm at Six Fields. Never been there before, so I hope there's some sort of easy landmark at the place so we can all find each other! :eye:
