Re: Intermittent Water leak (plastic undertrays)
I know this is an old thread but I'm currently experiencing the same symptoms you described and was wondering if you ever tracked down the problem. Like you my leak is intermittent. It doesn't leak when running only after the car has cooled down and not all the time either. Any help would be appreci...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Front exhaust section fitment question
Gotcha will do some research. In the meantime I managed to find the cross reference page for denso O2 sensors in case anyone needs it in the future. My Toyota part number is 89465-19415 which is DOX-0208 and works a treat see below for the list of toyota part numbers against Denso part numbers full ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Front exhaust section fitment question
Ok well I'm glad to report the front section I got fits nicely so for anyone with a rev 1 built in 1990 the front exhaust section listed 91-94 does fit. As for the O2 sensor it has completely transformed my car. I have my MR2 6 years now and since I got it, it has always hesitated on small throttle ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Front exhaust section fitment question
The coolant I flushed out was rusty very very rusty in colour. I ran a hose through it for about an hour and it still wouldnt run clear. So i removed the thermostat filled it with water ran it round the block a few times and drained it again. It ran rusty again so i kept this up all day. Finally got...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Front exhaust section fitment question
I ended up risking the flexi section i listed in the OP I have removed the old one and they match so thats one small victory. I also found my OEM O2 sensor part number on www.toyodiy.com (very handy site found the link on here :thumleft: ) I then cross referenced that part number on a page i cannot ...

[Mk2] [NA] Front exhaust section fitment question
I have a Rev 1 1990 N/A which is in dire need of a new o2 sensor, however the previous owner welded the o2 sensor in place and cut the bolts out so I also need a new front section of the exhaust. The earliest parts i can find are for cars built dec 91 onwards http://cgi.ebay.ie/LAMBDA-SENSOR-TOYOTA-...

Can this be used on the N/A? If not where would I get one online?
Cheers

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rev 3 calipers on Rev 1 now binding
OK 5 hours work today including driving 60 miles to get a salvaged master cylinder. I removed the master cylinder and attempted to push the pistons back in pairs to see if they would move the did and fluid came out of the 2 pipes that screw into the M/C. It was obvious at that point the problem was ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] MR2 RUNNING ROUGH
first thing to do is a diagnostic check. short circuit the e1 te1 (do a search to make sure I have the right pins named there) pins in the diagnostics port in the engine bay with a paper clip, turn the ignition on but dont start the car and watch for the engine check warning flashing if nothing is s...

[Mk2] [NA] Rev 3 calipers on Rev 1 now binding
I got a set of rev 3 calipers from a fellow board member just this week. I have fitted them but now the brakes are binding. When I was fitting them I pushed the pistons back, they were stiff but moved all the way back in. I noticed today when I went to push both pistons back in together they wouldnt...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev3 Turbo Thermostat housing - how many bolts holding it on?
Cheers will give both a go. Is there a second sensor somewhere that sends information to the ecu. Might be worth going the whole hog while I'm in there cos it runs xxxx during its loooooong warm up cycle.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev3 Turbo Thermostat housing - how many bolts holding it on?
I don't know about the na, but I can tell you the lower bolt on my old rev2 turbo was a hell of alot more tricky and almost impossible to get to and undo compared to the extreme ease there is getting to a rev3-5 lower bolt. My rev5 was easy. I was afraid someone was gonna say that. I've been puttin...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev3 Turbo Thermostat housing - how many bolts holding it on?
How did you find the job? Im looking at doing my rev1 n/a stat as soon as we get rid of this snow. Access to the bottom nut looks an absolute pig. Did you do the job from above or below the car? Any tips tricks special tools needed? Its damn cold out there lately wanna get as well briefed as possibl...

Re: N/A decatting - yay or nay?
Cant give the definitive answer but I done mine a few years back and apart from a slight change in engine noise it made feck all difference, certainly not worth the price of the decat and time it took to fit. IMO and speaking from experience dont bother with it unless its part of a full system. Even...

[Mk2] [NA] Rattle from under car up front
Just posting a solved problem in case anyone is having or might have in the future this problem. I noticed a loud rattle from under the car while going over bumps. When I applied the brakes it disappeared. I jumped to the obvious conclusion it was the pads, maybe the anti rattle springs weren't doin...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Poly Bush Fitment
For the control arm to strut bar bush, you do use the old washers. The washers that are supplied with the kit go here (pic by PoohBear): Image Replaced With URL For Quote http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b13/Poohbear9044/Suspension%20Upgrade/LowerArmWash.jpg Same for the front IIRC. Re: [Mk2] [NA] Poly Bush Fitment
Glad you got there in the end, I just did the rear of my car too- really wasn't as big a job as I thought. I used a heat gun to get the old bushes out- which was smokey, but worked well. Did you work out what the washers were for in the end? I assume they were for the Rear strut bar to control arm ...
