,just joined the club ,Hi to everyone.I have just bought my first mr2 ,its a 1992 t-bar,imported in about 2004 no history with the car, ,160,000 miles on the clock,the car is in vgc, there is no engine warning light after the car starts ,its very lumpy and when you put your foot on the accelerator the engine just cuts out and with a very strong smell of fuel,any help please Thanks short circuit the e1 te1 (do a search to make sure I have the right pins named there) pins in the diagnostics port in the engine bay with a paper clip, turn the ignition on but dont start the car and watch for the engine check warning flashing if nothing is stored it'll flash at a constant rate if it has an error stored it'll flash a code such as 21, two flashes followed by a pause and then 1 flash followed by a pause. i will let you know how i get on
