Thanks for your help. Just ordered the kit from a local motor factor and it was less than a tenner.
Thanks again.

Try your local breakers for one off a mk3 mr2 roadster. You should get one pretty cheap.

Re: Strut Braces
To the guys who've made their own bars (Stuart Davidson and MR2sRuleTheRoad) did either of your designs clear the underside of the engine lid without having to modify it? That's modify it as in hit it with an hammer  which I don't really want to do :)
No modi...

Re: Strut Braces

If I could make a suggestion about making a rear strut brace from scratch, why not go down the route I did and find a suitable bar that is already available and modify the ends to suit. Luckily, I live near to Demon tweeks so was able to go and see what is available. The hardest part to make are the...

windscreen trim paint

I need to paint (spray) the metal windscreen trims on my mk1 and wondered if anyone knows what colour/shade black is a good match to origonal? Preferably using an aerosol.
Thanks.

Fuel pump

Thanks Kev, I definately have 12v at the last connector under the centre console with the service link wire in, which by-passes everthing which should allow the pump to run to pressure up the fuel system. I have a spare tank and pump that I have checked, so it looks like I'll be lying under the car ...

Fuel pump

Anyone got any ideas to save me some work? I finally got my car delivered back from being painted (which only took about four months!) and the fuel pump doesn't appear to be pumping. I have put the service wire in etc and have 12 volts at the last connector under the centre console. I just wondered ...

Tubular exhaust manifold.

Has anyone fitted one of these to their mk1? I'm just getting my car back on the road and have one that I bought from the u/s a while ago.It certainly looks nice, but just wondered if it will make any real difference? It would be with a magnex back box.Don't know what make it is, but may be hks? Tha...

Re: supercharger engine lid

Thanks again for all the replies. There's obviously at least a couple of ways of going about it. It's either alter the car itself, which is a bit of work because of the spraying really. Or to alter the lid itself, which might be the easiest way.(Hopefully even easier when dex sends a photo). Thanks ,...
