windscreen trim paint

Post by Stuart Davidson »

I need to paint (spray) the metal windscreen trims on my mk1 and wondered if anyone knows what colour/shade black is a good match to origonal? Preferably using an aerosol.
Thanks.

Satin black is as close to original.

I used Astral Black which Halfords had down as black for Toyota's. Looks like a decent colour but I used the whole can and they still weren't finished, so much of it gets wasted on thin panels like those.

I need to know this too, might pop to Halfords and have a look.

Cheers for the answers all

I've found Plasticote Satin Black ( available for B&Q Homebase etc ) to be excellent for redoing the windscreen trims
Black is not a colour ! .... Its the absence of colour
