Not strictly true, depends on the grade of stainless steel ,cheap stainless is magnetic due to low nickel content.

You can buy a small storage space that fits to the radio using the mounting brackets.

Re: Frozen door locks

WD40? Worked for me, stuck the straw in the lock and gave it a good blast, its not frozen since. Now I just have teh glass to window rubber sticking issue, but thats easily fixed by pouring some water round it. I'd be interested in any method of preventing it happening in the first place though? Re: Mk2 15" tyre recommendations

912s replaced the 512s, I have some 912s on the rear and they seem to grip ok wet or dry, but i don't race around, so perhaps they may suit my style of driving but not other peoples.

I didn't see starter solenoid on the list, a click when you turn the key is most probably starter or starter lead related.

Re: transmission loss

I'm not saying that the loss will be the same from 150 to 1000. What I am saying is as you yourself have said about losses not being linear, is that saying cars lose 30% through the drive train cannot be true, as the more power you produce does not create a pro rata loss through the transmission.

Re: transmission loss

Extract from dynamometer-info.co.uk Basically its NOT ever a percentage! Or close to one and it never can be. Because if I were to take for e.g. 2 stock old GSXR Suzuki race rep 750 bikes, both would give me say 100rear wheel HP in 3rd 4th and maybe 2 less in 5th and 6th. The two less are simply aer...

Re: transmission loss

How can the transmission loss be measured in percentage, just because your engine turns out more power the transmission loss doesn't change. The average loss is 15 BHP on front wheel drives and 17BHP on rear wheel drives. For MR2 read front wheel drive.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Why is the MR2 so heavy

Sorry lads but the Impreza is one of the best chassis's ever built as much as you slate it. The panels themselves are thin for weight reaons but the chassis is solid. Speaking from experience the Impreza is a better built motor, as much as I like my MR2 there is no comparison to the Impreza I sold ...
