Mk2 15" tyre recommendations

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a set of tyres to replace the very nasty ones that are already on there. I've been looking around and I know falken fk452s are recommended, but I can't seem to find anywhere to get them at factory standard size.

Best I've found so far are falken ze912s 225/50/15 rear and 195/55/15 fronts for £200 delivered.

Anybody got any views on these or recommendations?

i stand to be corrected but think the 912's might be the replacement for the 452's

oh I didn't know the 452s were redundant.
I'd quite like to know if anyone has tried them yet to see if they are of the same quality as the 452s.

912s replaced the 512s, I have some 912s on the rear and they seem to grip ok wet or dry, but i don't race around, so perhaps they may suit my style of driving but not other peoples.

I dont think so, i dont think they are the same sort of tyre IIRC

i've got falken ziex ze912, 195/60/14 f, 205/60/14 r. I'm well happy with them. I struggled to get matching tyres for the rear. £152 free delivery for buying 4. Falkens were the only decent option in my price range. From black circles.

sounds like the 912s might be what I need.

An all rounder with good wet/dry grip works for me. It's an everyday car, and I know the falkens generally have fairly good traction around corners and for aquaplaning.

Must admit I would have liked the fk452s but seem very hard to find in those sizes.

I think its either the Falkens, Toyo T1-Rs or Yokohama AO-22s in standard sizes (could go 205/50 on the fronts also). As you say not much choice.

I have Nexen N3000s on my stock 15s and they are Fantastic wearing wuite well and great grip wet or dry about £40 a corner delivered.

I wouldnt use them on a track but for road use they are fine
