Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 16" Alloy Options
Enkei RP01's suit the MR2 perfectly. In 16" they have a really good offset and come in 7" & 8" and sit in the arches nicely.

Re: [All] [Generic] MOT & Interior
I think there's a new reg about having to have adjustable seats isn't there...this is the one that might catch me out, I'm solid mounting mine with no runners...might just keep the stock ones as spare for MOT time :-k MOT tester at work has confirmed that the seat has to be adjustable in 3 differen...

Re: Donato's Track Rev3
The MR2 had a little treat of some genuine goodies, 2x new radiator hoses. The silicone ones that i replaces the old tired ones with were too long to fit onto the car, so i had to trim them down a little. Which i believe was the cause to a small trickle from them when the thermostat opened. So they ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Best tyres?
I'll be getting the same size tyres soon. Federal RS-R's get my vote. Highly rated everywhere and i've had previous experience on them. They are similar to R888's for a fraction of the cost.

Re: What pads do you n/a track goers use?
A lot of people run Poterfield pads, however aren't cheap. A very popular pad to run is the Ferodo DS2500 but they don't seem to make them in MR2 fitment. When it comes to the time to buy mine, i think i'll be buying a set of Chris Wilson pads. A friend was using some Project Mu pads which he didn't...

I mean I like my recaro sr's, but i'd love to be held in a bit better than just the standard belts.
Will be perfectly fine if held in properly with FIA spec mounts, harness & seat

Just make sure your fluids are good, brakes are good and the car is generally healthy. If you got the basics down, you should be fine!

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Mounting a Harness
Mounted the harness without any major problems really. I've used the the standard seat belt hole for the O/S lap belt and screwed an eyelet in there. For the N/S i've drilled a hole in the floor, where it appears to be double skinned and installed an eyelet with FIA plate underneath. Nice and sturdy...

Re: Donato's Track Rev3
Harness & Bucket seat update! So after weeks of head scratching, various mounts, different metal & lots of trial and error i've finally managed to mount my Cobra Suzuka Pro in the car to a point where i'm happy with the position of how low and well it sits. I've used a mix of MX5 bucket seat...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Mounting a Harness
Brilliant, I might give that a whirl tomorrow. I'm using a Schroth 4point FIA approved harness, so the ends just clip into the eyelets. Like I said in the first post, I've managed to do the shoulder straps fine, just wasn't sure were to mount the lap straps.

[Mk2] [Generic] Mounting a Harness
I've got a 4 point harness that I need to mount on my car. I've managed to mount the shoulder straps to eyelets on the firewall. But can any one give some advise as to where to mount the lap belt eyelets? I'm not too sure if the thickness of the floor is too thin?

The car in the picture is from Japan. I've seen various pictures & videos of it on track. Does look nice.
If your after a GT wing similar, have a look on the Japspeed website.

I've recently bought the black steel ones from Driftworks. No one can really fault them, from what I can find.

More progress. I had my T-Bar glass vinyl wrapped. I mainly did that for 2 reasons, so if I crash they don't shatter ontop of me and also because I've binned off by T-Bar shades http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff484/donatos118/My%20Cars/Toyota%20MR2%20G-Limited%20NA/1D3DC313-01C7-4B23-B2EF-2D07A...

Donato I had them done by a friend of mine who used to work for arch enemy he cut and shaped them so that all the screw/bolts go back in place. What a guy, I can't figure that out! ](*,) Im still trying to come to terms with someone whom trades in their Rev 3 Turbo for a Prius  A young Japan...
