1994 Rev. 3 Turbo
Imported this car from Japan it has not been registered in the UK and has a genuine 73844 kilometres on the clock. My son and I used it for 8 track days until he lost interest and it has sat in the garage for the past year. Engine, gearbox and all running gear in perfect order, some of the parts I h...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Recommend a good fast road pad?
I agree Carbotech's are the best pad out there for standard calipers but at what cost? Yellow stuff is a good cost effective compromise.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Whats everyone using for engine mounts?
Well that's strange :-k I am not saying you are not correct mad1 but I have now fitted 4 sets of powerflex mounts to different Turbo Rev3+ cars and they all had the 83.5 front mount, these cars were imported direct from Japan so perhaps they had all been fitted with TRD mounts in Japan? But like you...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Whats everyone using for engine mounts?
The front Turbo mount is 83.5 mm Powerflex part No. PFR76-312, I expect you can fit the smaller ones by leaving the old mount ring in place but using the correct size makes life much easier.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] water/meth injection with an AEM system....info and questions???
I have nothing but praise for my cheap Devils Own W/M kit, OK its a track day car and never been registered for the road over here but its a Rev. 3 will 11 hard OPL track days with two drivers under its belt, still on standard internals with a Street Brawler turbo kit (1.4 BAR) and Ebay intercoole...

I have two sets and all OK. They are light so if you hit a curb they are going to bend.

255's on 9" but 235's would be ok just a little stretched, keep away from those curbs

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] supra brakes on a sw20??
I have used Supra TT front discs with Wilwood Dynalite 4 pot calipers connecting the two with Hux Racing adapter plates, it looks and works great but needs at least 17" wheels.
I have a spare set of adapter plates if anyone is interested.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Brake conversion (your toughts on my idea please)
You use a caliper with a larger pad area which means less pedal effort for the same effect also the pads are usually much thicker so last twice as long with less heat build up, I was going through a set of front Corbotech's in a track day (two drivers) which worked out expensive. What I am suggestin...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Brake conversion (your toughts on my idea please)
If you use a 4 pot caliper with the correct piston bore size there is no problem with balance or excess pedal travel

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What brakes for 400bhp Rev 3
For road use the standard Rev. 3 brakes with Carbotech XP 8 pads are adequate, for track use something better might be needed depending on your driving style or if on slicks.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Brake conversion (your toughts on my idea please)
For circuit use you can adjust the balance by using compounds with different Cf values I have found Wilwood Dynapro calipers with Poly B or Poly C pads up front work well with standard rear calipers using Carbotech XP 10 pads this keeps the bias away from the rear when trail braking.
