[Mk2] [NA] Coolant (AntiFreeze) which do I pick?

Hey guys, So I am in the process of bleeding my 2, as she appear to have an air lock in the system, now the coolant in my system is green in colour. I nipped into Halfords today to get some and was told that they dont do "the green stuff" only red/pink and blue. So I am off to Euro Car Par...

[Mk2] [Turbo] What's the correct Ignitor/Coil set up for a Rev 3 Turbo?

Hey,

Im looking to replace my ignitor and coil on a rev 3 Turbo. I was wondering if anyone knows the part number for the coil and ignitor I require.

[Mk2] [NA] coolant bubbling sounds

Hey guys,

So I have a rev 2 1992 G-limited and just recently I've noticed that there seems to be some sort of bubbling sound which sounds to me like its coming from the front rad.

You can hear the most when she is idling.

What could this be and should I be worried about it?

Thank you in advance.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Error Code #52 JDM Rev 2 Turbo

Best way to get at it is from the bottom, loads of room which makes a change.

How would you go about testing the wire for any defects?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Error Code #52 JDM Rev 2 Turbo

Knock sensors rarely fail. They can get damaged by backfires from non-standard exhausts. Error code 52 is knock sensor. Check it's plugged in. If it is, time for a new one. Thanks for the reply, Ill see if I can source one tomorrow and get back with the results :D. How hard are they to remove? Is i...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Error Code #52 JDM Rev 2 Turbo

Hey So I finally fixed all the problems in my previous posts, (No Dash lights - ECU-IG kept blowing (was the Fan Relay/ECU) and getting the car started (Had to replace ECU, coil and ignitor)), It was time to take it down for an MOT. On my way down to the test center my engine management light came o...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Possible dead alternator? (JDM rev 2 turbo).

Update, after some very helpful advice for a forum member it turns out my ECU-IG fuse was blown, replaced it and it instantly blew again, turns out that intercooler cooling fan is the issue, unplugged the ecu for it in the boot (trunk) and it stopped blowing all the lights on the dash were present. ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Possible dead alternator? (JDM rev 2 turbo).

Right update: unplugged the 3 wire plug, tested with a test lamp here are the results. White/Red - +12VE Yellow - +12VE Black - Nothing. I know I need to trace the wire but it looks a real ball ache and I loose sight of it as soon as it goes through the intake manifold, is there any "hot spots&...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Possible dead alternator? (JDM rev 2 turbo).

With ignition on, check for 12+VE at all the pins of alternator plug. If all OK, alternator is most likely goosed. If not, repair fault in wire not showing 12+VE. Thanks for the reply dude, not too sure if you saw my last entry on my previous thread but she is now firing up :D. Ill check the termin...
