1990 Rev1 GT Turbo Tin Top , spares or repair £600

Rev 1 MR2 Turbo . I bought this as a project to either put back on the road or use the engine in a MK1 MR2 unfortunately work commitments and 3 kids at home means I won't have the time to do either of these things . It was imported in 2003 and has covered 114000 miles ( not bad for 25 years old ) Th...

Re: MK2 Turbo Prices

I think they are going up steadily.
I remember back in 2009 I paid £1200 for a pretty much mint REV2 , I doubt I would find the same car now for less than 2500 .

Having said that I bought a REV1 last week for £450 so there are still some bargains to be had .

Re: Another MR2 at last ( lucky number 14)

Well the car is back at my house now . After a year of stood still it took some convincing to free the brakes off ! Wheels are genuine Work items so I'll be refurbishing them and keeping them on . Things I won't be keeping are the Lexus style lights I found in the boot and the blitz bov. Looking for...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Power FC AP Engineering: Identifying needed parts

Many moons ago I did a rev1 to rev3 PFC conversion . Iirc for the AIT sensor I used the one from under the engine lid .

The pins are fairly easy to swap around just use a very small screwdriver to release the pin from the plastic

Another MR2 at last ( lucky number 14)

After long love affair with MR2's I'm pleased to say I have another one . Over the years I've had 13 previous to this one , mixture of MK1's MK2 na and a few tubbys . I haven't owned an MR2 for a good few years now ( I have 3 kids so a Ford C-max is my weapon of choice ) Any way I always keep a look...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Any hints - Disassembly of Rev3 lights

I did this to my old ones, Warm the oven upto around 70deg. Then put the lights in the oven for 3-5mins, Take em out and gently pry the front from the housing, After 3-5 mins in the oven you wont be able to move em much so just keep putting em back in for a few mins. I did it like this as I didnt wa...

Re: New Debating Point! Whats the besk MK of MR2 for pure driving pleasure??

Yeah but Marc your mk1 was made of rust and ground down pistons :oldtongue: :eye: A MK1 S/C or MK1.5 I think is the most rewarding to drive, Nice to have the extra power than the N/A (although i've never driven a 1.5 :( ), Cant coment on the MK3 as I've never driven one. The tubby is a good GT car w...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What are these called please?

It is called a suspension arm See: http://www.mr2-tech.com/bgb/mechanical/volume2/suspension_and_axle.htm Page SA-79 You are correct - there isn't a ball joint. However there are reports that the captive nut within the rear subframe can shear off. This means that the bolt on the inboard end cannot ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] New to the MR2 World - My Mr. Two Track Car Project

Understand the comments on the rim sizes, while I want it to be a good track weapon I do want the rims to look kinda nice too :D However, I did struggle to find 15"/16" in the widths I wanted and for reasonable money unfortunately, which is why my current choice is the one I'm probably go...
