Re: FOR SALE: MR2 AW11 MK1b, Silver, 52k miles, history, Koni yellow suspension etc

Hi that is a stunning looking mk1, the fact it's been a catc would not put me off at all. It's different when the car is new and it's too much damage to be economical to repair but a cat c on an old car which the insurance value at peanuts could be for as little as a damaged bumper due to buying ne...

Just my 2p, Lovely looking mk1, excellent write up explaining stuff, all the detail one would expect.

Then ending it with- Its a CAT C. I'd expand on what happened here otherwise people expect the worse...

Re: buyer beware?

Not being funny, I sold my two with 200,000 kms on the dial (the speedo hadnt been converted) but advertised it in miles. I spent so much time explaining this to people it was a major PITA. After looking into the detail -my guess is that he thinks the speedo is in kms. Thats only a guess BTW, as I ...

Re: buyer beware?

I dont know b4rk3r - however, benefit of doubt here surely (he would nt knowingly sell a clocked car - if so why would he use his real username).

I reckon hes innocently purchased that with those miles. Too easily done IMO, just goes to show - there must be loads of clocked cars out there...

Re: [FINALIZED] 92 Mk2 Rev2 GTS Turbo - Added Photos

from your v.honest description it sounds like a neglected car, however when you see the pics it looks really well looked after. If you were to sort out all the little niggles, and get it MOT'd, a. it would sell a lot quicker and b. you will get a good price (in its current state - buyers will have a...

If you want to check for sure if it has a LSD: To verify if your car has a LSD, check the vehicle identification plate on the inside of front bonnet. There are a number of codes given there, including the transmission type, whose code starts with the sequence "A/TM" For example,     A/TM:-...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Very poor economy

Sadly this was the main reason for selling mine... :(

Just to rub it in - I now get around 600 to the tank (£50 to fill) from my diesel. I used to fill up every 3-4 days, now its every 2 weeks - thats a big saving LOL - :oldtongue:

Re: [All] [Generic] Anyone bought an import from the docks?

You can drive on the road without MOT/Plates/Tax as long as the car is insured on its Chassis number. ;) This means you can collect and import from the docks and drive it home. You must however clearly display your Chassis Number on the front and back of the car (A4 paper with number written in Mar...

Chasing a silver Porsche 993, B4040 - in between Malmesbury and A46, heading towards A46.

Both cars were flying along at a rapid rate of knots... about 4.30pm on Sunday 14th.

has happened to me a couple of times - I set a gatso off - by driving in the opposite direction - however - I've noticed it only flashes once, to work out your speed - it needs to flash twice.
