Rev 2 Turbo £1550

Post by suprmanmr2 »

Hi guys,

Im selling my MR2 Turbo and i need it gone to a new home asap since im moving my self in the next 2 weeks.

Its a Rev2 Turbo with 60,000 miles on the clock. I bought it last year and have had it serviced twice after every 5000km's.

MOT and tax for a few more months on it.

Specs: 1993 (K reg) MR2 Turbo GT

Nardi Steering wheel
PIAA wipers
Apexi Induction kit
17" Jap Alloys
New exedy clutch
Elect folding mirrors
Half leather seats
Aircon (works good and blows cold air)
T-bar (had brand new seals put on last year) There quite expensive
HKS Turbo exhaust
Steering fog lights
LSD
Folding mirrors
Pioneer head unit
Adjustable steering and all the usual GT stuff...

Bad bits:
Cars still in kms
Wheel tracking needs doing
One of the hand brake cable needs replacing

There is a boost leak from one of the pipes. I just do not have the time to dig into the engine and find it since my super busy atm.

Car had a few scratches and the bonnet is slightly fading away.

Good bits:
Since ive had the car ive always had it serviced on time.

No rust.

Exedy clutch put in 2000 miles ago in previous service.

T-bars seals are brand new.

Low mileage. Starts first time and is a brilliant car, just needs a new dedicated owner to put it in the right direction once again.

Priced £1550

More pics to follow soon.

Any questions do ask

Thanks guys for the reply.

Yes it need a few pennies spent to fix the small little bits which isnt the problem. I would do it my self but just have not got the time at all.

TBH the car has just been standing and i hardly drive it any more.

As for the price i have under priced it slightly so that a new owner can spend money on the car and get it back into perfect mr2 shape. Any thing over priced is hard to sell and takes a long time.

Once again thanks guys for the nice comments :thumleft:

No chavvy blow off valve neither! Very tidy!

You sure it has Limited Slip Dif though? Thought they were only on the rev3+?

Very nice car mate, good luck with sale. I have a friend interested already as well. Will give details if his interest develops.

Nope still didnt. Its funny because i drove the car a few days ago and the boost came on full. Its something silly stopping it from boosting all the way. Boost comes on sweet at 2800-3000 rpm and pulls strong but the gauge usually doesnt go more than 80% of the gauge.

Im pretty sure my one has a LSD. It corners beautifully and mine is a K reg which is the last rev2's i think. Ive been in rev1's and they feel and handle totally differently around bends and corners.

LOL BOV are not my kind of stuff. I like cars with power but clean and simple at the same time.

Love it .......

If you want to check for sure if it has a LSD:

To verify if your car has a LSD, check the vehicle identification plate on the inside of front bonnet. There are a number of codes given there, including the transmission type, whose code starts with the sequence "A/TM"

For example,     A/TM:-    735/E153

If the last digit before the /E153 is a '3' or a '5' then the car has a LSD - therefore in the example above it does.

Yes the car has LSD.

The A/TM is: E153-735.

I thought so :D
