Rev5 Standard Wheels

For sale is a full set of standard rev5 alloys. They were powder-coated anthracite a year ago, but only the fronts were ever fitted to the car. The only damage is small bit of kerbing on one wheel (pictured). The centre caps are still the original silver Toyota items. Tyres are: 205/50/15 fronts - M...

Re: Removal of Heater

Re: Kuhmo Ecsta V70A

I'm running them on the rear (std 15" size) with r888's up front. Only done road miles so far as I wont be getting back on track until August. So far so good :) I wouldn't say they're as good as r888's but they're much quieter on the road and hopefully longer lasting  (i bought the hard c...

Re: Non road legal Tyres

when you say race/circuit tyres i'm assuming you mean 'track' tyres?? :-k If you mean slicks then thats a big no-no I've ran r888's for a year and have just bought some kumho v70a's and i run these all year round :thumleft: although admittedly I don't do a huge amount of miles a year. Re: PADS- can you mix? Mintex 1144 on front, EBC Yellow on back???

I just went to my local motor factors and asked specifically for m1144 and they got me some in. Iirc they cost me something like £80ish fronts and the same again for the rear

Why can't you put Mintex M1144 all round? thats the setup I'm using....

Never tried yellowstuff but they either get great reviews or rubbish :-k

Re: Rough idea of the weight of my car please

My rev1 (NA t-bar, no PAS, no ABS) weight is down to 1120kg with 3/4 of a tank(30kg?) thats without going too extreme or expensive
With carbon/fibreglass parts i think 1050 is possible?

Jonny

btw my car is fully stripped out :-p

[Mk2] [NA] Finished my Manual Conversion

Howdy just thought I'd put a couple of pics up and information about the work I've just finished on my car :)) After writing off my rusty matt black runabout mr2 in June I decided to pull my finger out and use the parts from the black car to convert my other Mr2(nicer and a better colour - but an Au...

My auto to Manual Conversion project problems

Hi guys, I'm currently at this stage of my project...... http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg236/travisfububarker/DSC00024.jpg I've taken the engine and g/box etc. from my runabout rev1 n/a and am going to put it into the yellow rev1 pictured which was an auto. But there's a couple of things I need...

Re: Lightweight

I've stripped out my rev1 na, last time I weighed it it was 1120kg with 3/4 of a tank(30kg?). Could probably take out another 30-40kg.

Re: carbotech users

Roughly £80 for front and £80 for rear, that's on a rev2+ setup. It's kindof midway pricewise between carbotech and EBC.

Not sure how useful this is as I've never used Redstuff of carbotechs, but I run Mintex M1144 all round on standard disks with braided lines and they were excellent :thumleft: (£80 a pair for info)
