Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 Rev3 V6 - LSD, Magnex Exhaust, - £2800 ono.

Nice - I do miss my old mr2 V6 which was pretty much the exact same setup (except a tubby gearbox and drive train).

If I hadn't recently bought myself a pretty meaty n/a monster myself I would snap this up, as they are a great setup to drive.

Re: [FINALIZED] Rev5 MR2 BEAMS

OOooooh - nice! Shame you're not closer to me or I would snap this up.

Even then it's still very tempting.... :-k

Couple of quick questions :- when do the tax and mot run out? Any chance of a close up photo of the instrument cluster/dials?

Silver MK2 Spyder

Hi, Spotted today in south wales a very nice looking ultra rare Mk2 spyder. It had a bigish spoiler on the back and looked vey nice. Ideal for this weather! I was driving my own convertible - of the celica variety though. By the time it had clicked what I was seeing going the other way I didn't have...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Momo boss

Just fitted a MOMO boss and it doesn't sit flush with the column whats the cutouts for as theres nothing for them to marry up with? http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n281/blz-8027/Picture098.jpg ...if you mean the small notches in the base of the boss, then they are what the small lugs/pins on tha...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Momo boss

Thats odd - is yours a '91 car? I always thought that the <93 cars had a wire connector for the horn, and not the plastic connector on the ring. This is on 93+ cars (rev 3 onwards) from what I recall, hence why the need for a boss with a whole cut out of it. (Most of the cheapy ones will only fit re...

Well, its not to far from me but not an area I normally drive through on my way to work, shopping or the like...

...guess there may well be yet another person around my area in a carribean blue car. Did you notice whether it had standard wheels or not on it? Probably not me though.

[Mk2] [Generic] Rev 3 ABS ecu circuit diagram

Hi, I'm looking for a circuit/pinout diagram of the ABS ecu for a rev 3+. Think it may be in the bgb "RM379E" - body repair supplement nov 93? The one in my bgb is different to the one of my car, and think its down to be the book covering earlier models, as it for '91? Need it to try and s...

Well, seen quite a few mr2's in the area. I know of a couple of turbos too - although they work here rather than life here though.

[Mk2] [Generic] ABS Problem

Hi, I had a problem in the past where very occasionally the ABS light would stay on after starting the car. Next time I started it it would be fine, and then stay that way for a good while.... ....unfortunately the light is now back on. However, this time its coming on while driving. Its not been wh...

Re: 1.2 Clio puts MR2 ownership in perspective!

Not exactly power related but I've been driving a Kia Sportage recently and my MR2 has been off the road for months - expecting to get it back soon. So, when I do get it back after a high driving position, I expect to have that feeling of "what am I doing down here !" Anyone else drive Je...

Re: Aqua-planing Lorry - worst accident I've seen happen

Yup - aqua planning is nasty. A while back a work colleague of my cousins had just got enough no claims to allow him to get a decent car - he had his eye on a mint 306 Hdi. Anyhow, a couple of weeks later he was on the new, just surfaced A1/M1 link road. Loads of water, nice new smooth/slippy road, ...

Re: [Mk2] [ANY] Improving Handling on Rev3 without going overboard

Ahh - forgot about that lot. I also fitted new droplinks, lower ball joints and had new antiroll bar bushes at the same time. I agree its amazing how much difference having a full wheel alignment gives too - I had my fronts checked recently and one side was way out (probably thanks to the numerous p...

Re: [Mk2] [ANY] Improving Handling on Rev3 without going overboard

Well, if you want to retain a lot of the ride quality of the original setup but want to get a slightly more racey feel, in my humble opinion you can't beat bilstein "yellow" uprated shocks, eibach springs and trd topmounts. Fit those with a set of poly suspension bushes and it should tidy ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Toyo T1-R Tyres

I recently needed new rear tyres on my stock 15" rear wheels - the choice these days is severely limited for the rears... :( Used to have bridgestones before they stopped making them so have been using T1-R's last few rear sets.. Using SO2's on the front, and T1r's on the back... ...I have noti...

Re: MR2 Only Rolling Road Day at DSA, Bucks April 14th

Well, I've just filled up with a tankfull of optimax, and ready to go - shame I didn't have chance to wash the car tonight though. Still, as I'm having to travel 161miles to get there (approx 2 hrs 51 mins according to google maps) its just gonna get dirty again. ;) I'll try and get there for 9 am a...
