Due to part of my engine deciding it would rather be outside of the block i am trying to steal, I mean *borrow* a MR2 so I can come along.
really want to see the v6 on the rollers
Excellent day guys, really enjoyed it, thanks all for coming, some results will be posted up soon, and some photos, got a few funny ones! lol
The guys at DSA did us proud, and lots of good results from all!!
Thanks to 6volt for supplying the much needed ice cold beer back at his gaff, wonder what his neighbours thought when 8 MR2s invaded the neighbourhood!
Right im off for a beer!
Great day - nice to meet you all guys. Had a pleasent suprise with my dyno result too - which was nice.
Quick pic of the lineup of cars at the end...
Large version also available from that address - just remove the "small" at the end.
The yellow on in the distance was parked up for a while and I think belonged to one of the units opposite the garage? Don't think they came out to joint in the fun though.
well worth the 300+ miles round trip!
Right chaps, here are a list of results, im hoping you all gave me your result slips back, and I hope I didnt lose any, as due to my over heating problem had to drive back with heaters on and windows down!

Your up early Steve!!!
Was a good day, pity I couldn't stay a bit longer although i'm sure you guys wouldn't have wanted my filthy shed in the pics anyway! lol
I was happy with my power too, considering there minimal mods and running a standard ecu with no FCD!
great results folks....
altho just to add, surely these are at the wheels figures, not hub figures steve? wheel would have to be off and connected to a hub dyno for the figs to be at the hubs....
dyno dynamics quote at the wheels...
soz to be anal!
GREAT line up, normally very difficult to get good pics at a RR day because of the space! you guys had loads of room for some great shots!
did the big beast black turbo run? the one with the boot mount etc etc... ?
Pity lee's SC V6 wasnt running right either, I think that has great potential, hope he sorts it out soon, from looking at the car the problem is relatively simple to sort I think, then you will have turbo power (and some) with the creamy V6 and SC whine, great!
Looks like it was a great day guys. Sorry I couldn't get there. Looks like I would have been top of the pile too.
Not to worry, always next time. It'll have the bigger turbo fitted then, so will be making even more power.
Congrats to all.
EarL.
Sable Grey 2004 MkIII Roadster
Once an MR2 owner, ALWAYS an MR2 owner!
Shame you couldt make it EarL!
Think most of us went home pretty pleased, shame about the probs Jinja but it will be a monster when its right!
Those two V6's just sounded awesom! very impressed with Ians V6 N/A with almost tubby power, also Nick from DSA's turbo was a bit of an animal and with his rebuild plans its going to be another 450bhp monster.
Also Simons track turbo was pretty impressive, 308bhp, Simon demonstrating that its not all about show and shine...literally! lol
Be interesting to see what it makes when we review the Dicktator ECU on it.
Well chuffed with mine I must admit. Also my "at the wheels" figure was actually 187.9 according to the chart.
Been discussing the results of mine and Jinja's cars over on the two brutal forum.
Anyhow, just for reference complete mod list that I can think off is :-
Fidanza Flywheel
Custom exhaust mid section
Left walbro 255 fuel pump in from previous turbo conversion. Also had new fuel filter fitted.
Fitted k&n air filter when the el-cheapy ebay one fell apart.
Magnex na exhaust with decat.
Had new valve stem seals fitted (as was part of gasket set), which meant tony also had to regrind the valves to bed them in and reshim it.
Oh yeah had a tankfull of "v-power" in as well....
Looks like the headwork will free up an extra 30-40bhp by allowing the power to keep climbing to a higher redline - from 6000 to 7200+ or so.
Hi everyone
Great day out really enjoyed myself was nice to meet up with imoc guys and mr2oc as well
At the end of the day i was really pleased with my results 264.4 bhp and my i also add 222.8 at the wheels
lol i was only expecting just over 200 bhp
so i'm really chuffed
jerry!!
