Re: at what point do peeps rebuild theres engines???
The £4k did include some other parts whilst they were there, ie clutch, ported head etc, but it was still a hard pill to swallow, and unsurprisingly, the quote was for less than the £4k final bill !!! I'm sure there are more technically proficient peeps on here to shout if I'm wrong, but I would ima...

[MK2 T] What's the standard ride height ?
Anyone know what the standard ride heights are 'say' hub to wheel arch rim ? I have adjustable suspension on my tubby and I have recently raised it because I kept grounding the Blitz flexi exhaust section, but I think I must be near standard height now #-o Time to dig out the C spanner ;) Cheers Matt

Re: at what point do peeps rebuild theres engines???
I was planning to go for an extreme hybrid and it's on the car now, so I had the engine rebuilt ready for it. I went for forged pistons, steel rods, steel head gasket etc and it cost me £4k., that included removal and refitting. The Toyota engines are strong, but I'm aiming for 400bhp+ so I will be ...

Re: [Mk2 ] Insurance time
Is this your everyday car mate ? I've been insured with AON for the last 4 years on a modern classic policy. Limited mileage of 3000 miles per annum but doesn't need any NCD, so I can use my full NCD on my work car. My car is pretty heavily modified and all( O:) ) mods declared. Cost ? Les...

Re: '2 Green !
Certainly is  I was going to go for something darker and with more of a gold pearl in it, but that would have been a one off colour. Practicality reared it's ugly head and so I decided on a colour I could get hold of should I scratch it, have a ding etc. So Vauxhall Tropical Green it is. Matt

Re: '2 Green !
I like it....different in a good way. Exactly what I was aiming for, thanks bud. I like the lines of the MR2, so I just updated mine to look like a Rev 3 plus added the Toms scoop for improved airflow to the air intake (honest  ) 17" wheels and a clean but standout paintjob are enough fo...

'2 Green !
Hi all, Quick history - I used to post on IMOC back in the days when it wasn't as flash as the forum is now ! But then I bought a modified TT Supra to replace the MR2, problem was having spent so much time, effort and money on the '2 that I couldn't bring myself to sell it [-( So a year after buying...

Re: Respray - Questions?
Yup, I had that done for £1100... and Im paying for it big time now really. Which is why IM stripping it down and IM spraying the bits they missed, IM prepping it. Then a different bodyshop can paint it for £1500-£2000 (Ill have done half the work) Pay cheap prices if you want but I seriously dont ...

Re: Respray - Questions?
I have an early MR2 Turbo, in fact registered manufactured 1989 ! I went to a bodyshop I KNOW does a damn good job. We basically decided it needed a full respray, no real damage or rust but just imperfections on every panel due to its age. I collected my (now lairy green  ) MR2 last night, an...
