[Mk2 ] Insurance time

Post by MRV6 »

My insurance is due again. I'm insured with Adrian Flux never had any probs with them. But I'm looking for other quotes and the companies I've tried so far won't even touch my car. I'm trying to get some competitive quotes, the people who have had tubby conversions who did you go with?

Is this your everyday car mate ?

I've been insured with AON for the last 4 years on a modern classic policy. Limited mileage of 3000 miles per annum but doesn't need any NCD, so I can use my full NCD on my work car.

My car is pretty heavily modified and all( O:) ) mods declared. Cost ? Less than £400 a year

I'm an old fart though at 31, but even so it's pretty damn cheap.

All the best

Hi, thanks for the reply. No it's not my everyday car and I might do 3-4000 mls a year in her. I will give AON a try. Pah 31 your'e just a pup mate :)

These limited mileage deals are really good.
Shop around mate.
Performance Direct perhaps? :-k Not sure if they are still going.
AON are good. Had my FTO with them and was cheap to insure.

Phil,

As you're a premium member there's an IMOC scheme. I'm not sure if they'll be able to quote on a V6 transplant, but its worth a try. I'll PM you the details ...

Update;

Sky insurance - won't insure me
AON - won't insure me
Bell Direct - er won't insure me
Norwich Union - got stopped after 6 mods and would n't insure me.

Tesco would £596
A Plan would £480

Thanks for the link Ben.

Just waiting for Mr. Flux to send me my renewal policy see what he has to say.
