You will see a nice power bump from just a downpipe upgrade. The exhaust upgrade will net some good results as well. Both are very worthwhile upgrades, and don't have to be done at the same time.

The main problem you'll find with XS intercoolers and other cheap ones like it are everything in the kit other than the intercooler core itself. The piping is junk, the couplers are junk and usually improperly sized. The clamps are as well. No body shroud, no fan shroud, no fan. Otherwise the interc...

Make sure to add some hump hoses to your piping. Without hump hoses the aftermarket intercoolers have a tendency to rip the mounting brackets off.

On a turbo car, typically bigger is better. On a naturally aspirated car, larger is not always better. usually around 2.25"-2.5" is ideal for most naturaly aspirated cars. Sometimes even smaller.

If you're talking about the Chinese made copycat turbos, they're complete garbage. If you're talking about USDM versus JDM OEM CT26/CT20b MR2 turbos, there's a few different ones USDM steel turbine CT26: Spools the slowest and makes the least power. Maxes out on power around 210-225rwhp with support...
