Nice one jimbo! glad it all come together in the end after all the hassle! What injector duty did you reach on the 850's?

Me and nick are right behind you now with the 400bhp mark, just waiting for that hour on the dyno with ryan, then once done we could be the ' Medway Monster Mr2 Maniacs' or MMMM for short lol.

Is that all ??!!

Drive it and have some fun ! :thumleft:

Your EGT's going up were they ?? Figured having the external gate, on full chat shouldnt have as much problems as those channeling everything through the exhaust system !!

Good work by both parties, I know the cars been a bit of a pain.. just hope your manifold holds itself together !

You guys will be alright tho won't you, I mean come on, look at your builds!
400 will be easy as hell for you guys :-)
I'll be the one lagging behind, lol

duties, am not sure, Ryan didn't mention anything so I would bet there was a ton of fuel left yet. Tho sure I can check on my commander if I redline it in 4th :-). Hardly legal driving tho is it ;-)

We didn't know about egt's exactly, as said no gauge for it. I think Ryan was just being cautious due to the small exhaust side and cat.
But I guess you are right about the EW. The one I have on there is a huge 48mm unit, so would vent a ton of gas and I guess heat as well!!
Perhaps we didn't need to worry so much.

the manifold, I'm gona think up some ideas to brace the downpipe/turbo for future proofing.

Am just pleased it didn't take 2bar to get 400fly, pmsl. Turbo and this limited setup can't be to bad then. Glad I stuck with it and didn't go gt3076, was very tempted. Tho for sure it'll prob have made 425-450 at that boost the 3076. But hey ho. I'm happy with the apexi unit and the torque! :-)

It's actually the highest powered mr2 I've seen on a roller dyno in person. was amazed at the way it trys to launch itself off the dyno when it comes on song!! And that screamer is mental!!

Yeah that's fun to see, I remember ant's doing that, got to about 3krpm and then raised up on the dyno a good few inches!

Good results Jim and Ryan!

Seeing your car on the Dyno is always something to behold. I find I watch my dyno video more often than anything else. And as for the launching off the rollers... you should check out the 1.9 bar boost spike at the start of mine   Charlie though the car wasn't strapped down enough by the looks of things. Maybe a brown pant moment.

WOW! 400bhp must be pretty crazy.... I took my MR2 out for the first time in 6 weeks last night( the roads were actually dry) and thats only running 270bhp, but god it felt fast compared to the mazda 2 1.3 with 75bhp! that I have been driving as my mate is borrowing my MX6 atm!

yeh i stupidly forgot my digi cam! otherwise i would have recorded the run!
gutted!

thing is at the beginning it was quite amusing, they had the graphs setup for atw instead of flywheel...i didnt realise this.
started doing a few pulls at 0.85bar to get things going, hitting around 280ish atw, i thought oh thats 280 flywheel, not bad for 0.85bar....
did similar numbers at that boost, then charlie changed the settings and i saw 330ish flywheel! i was like

Gutted. I'm sure it wont be too long before its back on a dyno for a power run though - even just for the video.

When I get my map tweaked I'm just going to set a camera up on a tripod that way I wont have to be watching whats recording and I can get in on the action :thumleft:

I've got my new boost solenoid now and all the fittings so need to plumb that in. Hoping to get it back on the road in the next month or 2 then it will be back up there for a tweak on the map and probs 1.6bar. :thumleft:

Got a right deal on the solenoid. MAC Vales UKdistributor. £27 - AEM etc £75 - 100. Rogue/Thor £50+

Cut out the middle man I say - go direct!
