Re: Tin top owners - any regret over lack of T-Bar?
Had a rev5 sonic shadow t-bar N/A and suffered leaks, (curable obviously) but a still a pain. Got a rev1 tintop turbo now, wouldn't go back to a t-bar. Depending where you live and if you are fortunate to get good weather majority of the year, t-bar has some plus points. Although living in Scotland,...

Re: REV1 front top strut mounts
Just a heads up, if the top mounts have one concave side to the metal part where the studs sit, the curved bit has to point to the rear of the car. Not sure if the ones you ordered will have that or not but the KYB ones I ordered for my Rev1 did. The top mount must have the curved edge pointing to t...

No never bought on the website. I can check if I bought anything at all to do with JAE. Been going through bank statements and not seeing anything tied into it. Where do I buy on IMOC?

OSF KNOCK! Doing my nut in!
OFF-SIDE FRONT KNOCK. - items replaced so far... 1. Drop link. 2. New shocker and strut assembly 3. Buckled wheel replaced with new. 4. New top mount bearing. Any other ideas what could be the problem? It's done it since I picked the car up in September as is getting gradually worse. It seems to onl...

Any update on this?
I'm pretty certain I've booked in but don't know if there was something to do on IMOC here regarding going and joining in with the club? I stated in my application I was part of IMOC.
Also, I'm assuming we take our own tents?!

Forge actutator. Instalment.
Has anyone fitted one of these to the rev1 turbo engine?
Just got one and trying to gather info on how to do the change over quickly and without bumping into any trouble.
Any other things I should look out for?
Just don't want to jump in blind.
Cheers.

Re: Hitting fuel cut, REV1 turbo.
Thanks a lot for that detailed reply! It definitely made some stuff make sense. Although what do you mean by, go into 3rd and go WOT? I managed to get my hands on a forge adjustable actutator for a reasonable price second hand. While the car is off road until April I'll fit that and do the 3rd gear ...

Hitting fuel cut, REV1 turbo.
I've fitted a blitz Nur spec exhaust on my rev1 and now my car is hitting fuel cut. I've fit an aftermarket gauge and from research is that 13psi(fuel cut stock)? What's the first thing I should do to stop hitting cut? FCD/ECU/adjustable ACTUTATOR/G-valve MBC? And what is all the stock psi/bar level...

Re: Stock Bilstein Set up
I'm using the genuine replacement ones from MR2 Bitz, a great guy called Ade Glover I believe.
They fit perfectly, they are well priced, and besides my Tein springs, wouldn't change the setup. Using KYB top mounts on the front.

Don't know anyone who's been happy with them. Usual complaints are crashy, bouncy and general poor handling.
Looks nice though I guess.
I'm in agreement, they will be coming off my car next week. Harsh ride.

Re: Wind noise in cockpit, REV1 turbo.
Make sure the windows are going all the way up. Over time the runner wear etc. Remeber the windows can be adjusted in/out as well for tightness against the seal :thumleft: Surely if it was the window not tight to the seal I might notice leaks? As it stands there is absolutely none. It's just very c...

Radio not working.
As above, bought the car with a Kenwood Single din radio, has an ISO harness fitted to the loom but went to change my radio to a double-din Sony, the plug still fits the new radio, and now it's not working, the radio is brand new. My car is kitted out with Clifford Proffessional Series 3 alarm syste...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rebuildable rear shock absorbers?
Hi all.
I've got a rev1 turbo that DOESNT have the bilstein shockers. Will inserts such as - http://www.mr2-ben.co.uk/products/view/ ... -1989-1999
Even though it states not for turbo?
Thanks.

Re: [FINALIZED] 1991 Rev 1 MR2 Turbo - DROP £2750 ONO.
This car has provisionally sold. I'm now on a serious hunt for a Rev3+ turbo. Preferably yellow but all colours considered! Will pay over the odds for the right one. Message me on IMOC or 07474363566 / kurk_jones@hotmail.co.uk. I'm genuinely interested in all turbos rev3 or more. Please contact me i...
