Forge actutator. Instalment.

Post by kurkjones »

Has anyone fitted one of these to the rev1 turbo engine?
Just got one and trying to gather info on how to do the change over quickly and without bumping into any trouble.
Any other things I should look out for?

Just don't want to jump in blind.
Cheers.

its pretty straight forward on paper two bolts and a circlip but access is the issue . it might be easy if you remove the turbo. it is possible to do . ive done the circlip with the turbo still on and its a nightmare.

If you want 1.0bar boost fit it .. there two types of aftermarker 1. that comes with a bracket ready to fit .. 2. one you need to remove the old actuator from the bracket and drill some holes to fit before you can install.

Insulation is simple the hard part is (because of preload) attaching the actuator arm onto the turnbuckle .. the actuator arm should be at least 6mm to short ... you can try pulling it (i failed) or attach a footpump to extend the arm (i have a vid if your unsure) .... best of luck mate :thumleft:

Done this twice ... easy of peasy :thumleft:
