just looked at my engine (its on a build stand in the garage) and i would say yes, if that main crank seal was leaking you would prob see oil on the back of the flywheel... it could be leaking through the ali plate that the oil seal is sat in, that has a U shaped gasket and if the bolts are not tigh...

i cracked my crank pully when i took it off... but i removed it with a very big hammer :thumleft: i would have though toyota would have a special tool for taking the pully off... reading through the workshop manual for the mr2 they have a special service tool for every other job!! lol saying that th...

i got this on my gt4 after i fitted a very big intercooler :thumleft:
if i let off the gas very quickly the ssqv would dump the air but if i let off very slowly the ssqv would stay shut and i got the turbo chatter noise... it is a cool noise :lol:

iv got a 'full' engine gasket set but it doesn't include the water pump and oil pump gaskets #-o

any idea where i can get these from? is it Mr T only???

Iv had a good look around this morning and the only place i can find them is fensport at £104, is there a cheaper place to get them or is fensport it? you can get them from the US for about £30 but who knows if there any good :-k would suck to try and save some cash on the re-build by fitting cheape...

i found the answer in a toyota work shop manual...

Cylinder bore diameter is determined by size mark on
cylinder block deck surface. See Fig. 30. Maximum
bore diameter is 3.3949" (86.230 mm).
