[Mk2] [Turbo] Head Gasket thickness?

Long story short, got my head skimmed, garage went bust, didn't inform me how much was skimmed.

The impression they left me with was it wasn't a great deal!

Questions

Any way to tell how much was taken off?
Which gasket to get?
What thickness?
And where from?

BTW - Rev 1 '91

Re: Smoothing doors over. Any advice?

yeah, i am intending on doing it all round, not just on the doors. The intention is to create some new fittings on the bumpers front and rear. There will still be a line on each of these, but is needed to allow for replacement or fixing. As for the doors and air intake vents, they will be completely...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Wing mirror not playing the game!

Left side wing mirror has packed up. It won't move the mirror. Is it a simple fuse i should be looking for or a relay or more?

Door problems

Addressing an old problem on my Mk 2 Turbo rev 1 90. The Door doesn't seem to sit flush when it's closed. It's secure when it's closed but does leave scuff marks on the plastic door sills. Is it a hanging problem or are their different doors for different models and revs? Further to that has anybody...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Coolant Temp Sensor, where to buy it from?

Usual overfuelling problem, it seems to be one of the perks of owning an Mr2. Been through all of the threads reguarding the possibilities and through a variety of tests have now narrowed it down to the Coolant Temp Sensor. (Green Plug). Where can i get Stick on front number plates?

As it says, i'm after a stick on front number plate, unfortunatly nobody wants to sell me one. I know they're illegal, but i'm willing to have a small brush with the law for the sake of a nice looking front end.

Nitro mors auto paint remover, about £5/6 from B&Q. I had to do the same thing, however you need to really carefull when usig it in so much as if you leave it on for too long or put on too much, it melts the plastic. When you use it have a bucket of soapy water or a hose with an old sponge to wa...

I Know this is probably the wrong forum but there's also a bit of banter involved. I'm changing my rev1 brakes to rev2 tyo try and gain some braking effect. All is going swimmingly however, the gaitor which goes around the piston (rear caliper) has split, so im out to replace it. I went to Auto Fact...
