Hi
Is there any such thing a brake caliper slider pin grease that is silicone free? I was just going to use moly grease but I am told that the mineral oil in the grease may rot the rubber boots. I dont like silicone because of the effects on spray painting- it gets everywhere.

Oil in Pipes
Hi
I really feel for you. I know that sinking feeling when you realise that some thing major may be up with the engine. My mr2 turbo seems to produce alot of smoke from the exhaust so I may well have some big problems to deal with. Hopefully it is only a turbo problem and not a blown engine.

Mk1 rebuild
Hi
Back on the road allready- that is impressively fast work! It is great refitting Toyota parts they go on with so little hassle. Did the bumper bar go on ok or did it need any fettling?
Regards
Andrew

Mk1 rebuild
Hi The rebuild looks like it is going great! Looking at the pictures brings back memories of doing the same jobs on mine. It sounds like you have had a bit if luck with the screws, only two sheared off ones is good going. You will find that the reassembly will go pretty smoothly since the parts made...

[All] [Generic] Mystery Mr2 part delivered in the post!!!
Last week i returned home from work to find that I had a package. It contained what looks like a petrol flap for a Mk2. It is a sort of dolphin grey colour (metallic silver/grey with a touch of blue). The package contained no paperwork and had no return address. I assume that it has been sent to the...

Mk1 rebuild
Hi It is great to see the parts that you got off me being used rather than providing a home for the spiders in my barn. Have you taken the bumper and wings off yours yet? I think I may have remembered where my stash of front indicator light units are. If you find that you need one (they tend to not ...

Bleedinf Brakes
Hi One story that I have heard is that in normal use only a small part of the travel of the master cylinder is used. When bleeding the brakes by pumping the pedal the whole travel of the master cylinder shaft is used. The normally unused part of the shaft can corrode and this corrosion can damage th...

[Mk2] [Generic] Fuel Tank Hose Refitting- Diagram needed !!!
I am trying to refit the fuel tank to my 1992 Mk2. Does any one know where I can find a diagram that shows which pipe goes where? The access when I removed the tank was so bad that I was not able to keep track.
