MK1 A Front and Rear bumper part nos

Post by j0nathan »

Could someone post up the part numbers, preferably with the parts explosion of the front and rear bumper assemblies? I need to order some bits and am a long way from my EPC.

TIA,
Jon

Front Bumper:

Bumper Reinforcing bar: 52021-17020
Bumper foam: 52611-17010
Bumper skin: 52119-17900

Centre upper metal strip: 52521-17010
Side upper metal strip: 52522-17010 (2 off)
Bumper to wing metal strip (RH): 52535-17010
Bumper to wing metal strip (LH): 52536-17010
Centre lower metal strip: 52506-17010

For completeness seeing as I'm compiling the list (Someone else is bound to dig this up in a search), for mk1b:

Bumper Reinforcing bar: 52021-17021
Bumper foam: 52611-17011
Bumper skin: 52119-17901

Centre upper metal strip: 52521-17011
Centre lower metal strip: 52506-17020
(All other parts same as mk1a above)

Standard fittings used:
Bolts for lower strip: 90109-06102 (9 off)
Nut for upper strips to body: 90179-06068 (6x for Centre, 2x for Left, 2x for Right)
Nuts for bumper to wing metal strips 90179-06097 (3 per side)
Lower bumper attaching bolts: 90119-12062 (2 off)
Upper bumper attaching bolts: 90119-10085 (2 off)
Look like locating pins of some kind for the upper strip: 90339-04018 (3 off)

If someone else with the EPC could check these for typos it'd be appreciated.

Rear Bumper: (All parts common to mk1a and b)

Bumper Reinforcing bar: 52023-17010
Bumper foam: 52615-17010
Bumper skin: 52159-17900

Centre upper metal strip: 52561-17010
Side support (RH): 52155-17010
Side support (LH): 52156-17010
Centre lower metal strip: 52565-17010

Standard fittings used:

Nuts for upper lower strip: 90179-06007 (9 off)
Bolts for lower metal strip: 90109-06106 (10 off)
Clips for Side supports 90183-03001 (2 off)
Bolt for side support 90541-06076 (2 off)
Bolt for side support 91655-40616 (2 off)
Bumper assy/exhaust mount attaching bolts (underneath)90119-10334 (2 off)
Bumper assy attaching nuts (in boot) 94180-41000 (2 off)
Seal for nuts above 52191-17010 (2 off)

There's also another couple of seals listed (52591-17010 x2), can't see where they go and they're only included on the mk1b diagram. Can only assume they're pretty much optional and were added to later cars to fix some issue.

Exploded diagrams are available at http://opc.mr2oc.com/

I don't think they always have the full part number on the diagram, but should help

Toyota part numbers are usually in 2 5 digit parts, the first part is the "Part function code" which basically describes what the part is, then the second part is a code which determines what vehicle the part is for.

It's never quite as clear cut as that as some parts are carried across different variants of the same vehicle but that's the gist of it. As such the diagrams usually only contain the Part function code so from there you should be able to match up the parts on the picture to the parts listed above. The exception to this is "Standard parts" such as nuts, bolts, fitting and clips which usually have their full 10 digit code on the diagram.

Mk1a Bumper Bar and Bumper Moulding for sale

Post by DNOS808 »

Hi
I am trying to find a home for a very good condition front bumper reinforcing bar from a Mk1a. I also have the foam insert that goes in front of the reinforcing bar and the plastic moulding that forms the bumper part of the body work. If you are interested drop me a line. I also have a barn full of other Mk1 parts if you need any thing.

Thank you for the offer. I already have new bumper bars and so on. All the metal strips that sandwich between bars and skin were crumbletastic though as are the bolts. It was easier to request the entire diagram and cherry pick the part nos I need. You'd probably get a very good price for a 1a bumper bar on fleabay or on here.
