Re: Yellow stuff pads with standard or grooved discs road/track???
I've tried a few different combinations of discs/pads on my mr2 at trackdays and found the yellow stuff pads with grooved discs not to be up to the job. I've only heard good things about carbotech except for squeeky when cold but have yet to try these as the latest setup i have has done the job. I f...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting mr2 Roadster Seats
Didn't notice much difference.
Only that it adjusts much higher than the original seats.
I found i needed to wind it down to pretty much its lowest setting to get a comfortable driving position and i'm only about 5'9.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting mr2 Roadster Seats
I did this a short while ago. I used the mk3 rails and drilled and cut off the little bolt through tags on both rails. I then welded the tags from the mk2 rails onto the mk3 rails and slotted the seats right in. Just had to measure the distances between the holes. I have heard of someone doin this b...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] FCD fitting
Turn the screw clockwise to raise the fuel cut and anti to reinstat it.
I just wired it up at the ECU connector.
Nice and dry.
If you'd like a copy of instructions pm me your email and i can send them to you.
Mark.

Thanks for that

Do you think this would cause any noticable loss in performance
(more so than another silencer) due to being restrictive?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Exhaust silencing advice/ideas?
Hi all. Hope you've had a fantastic xmas season. Ok, so i have a blueflame exhaust fitted to my 2 and it's far too loud for my liking. The entire system has been replaced from the turbo back and i am looking for ways to quieten it down a bit. I do not wish to change the exhaust if possible as i very...

This may help;

Although from my exerience, radio interference related to engine revs tends to come down to poor earthing.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Reverse lights not working
If i remember correctly, the switch is only a 2 pin so if you wanted to be 100% sure before you got a new switch, short out the 2 pins and switch on the ignition. Reverse lights should illuminate if the switch is the problem. Another test you can do to ensure that the switch is at fault and not some...

Re: Big day for the 2 tomorrow
Hi Bit random but i had a nightmare with a towbar and my mr2 the other day. I got it from halfords (1st mistake) and had my dad (Hence your situation reminded me of mine) tow my mr2 with my other half (second mistake) at the wheel. They pulled up at a roundbout and the bar bent in half! Luckily dama...

Re: SW20 Big Brake Adapter Kit Group Buy - No. 2
Hi all. Just thought i'd post a pic up of this brake kit installed on my mr2 with 17 inch wheels. I was very impressed with the quality of the machined parts and they fitted perfectly. I've since used the car on track and they held up perfectly. Never once did i loose faith in them braking late for ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Hole in my block
Thanks for the heads up jj. Didn't think about that. And i've just stuck a bottle of fresh oil in her. Typical. Considering goin the whole hog on the engine over the winter pistons rods etc. Does the engine come out the top with the gearbox removed? Or is it easier to pull it all out the back of the...

If it helps, I have a good kyb shock insert in my garage.
And by good i mean it's not leaking and still takes considerable force to compress.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] BIG RED Calliper Repair Kits
I've used these guys to rebuild some rev 3 calipers.
Parts were spot on and i've done some pretty heavy track work with my motor since and they've been fine.
Been on about 8 months now.

WOW that was a fast reply! Thanks!

Where would be the best place to get one from? Might aswell do the oil pump and timing belt while i'm at it.
Is it best to stick to Toyota for these bits to ensure top quality?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Hole in my block
Hi all. After a dissapointingly short session at Brands Hatch last weekend, my rev 1 decided it had had enough and produced a coolant leak. I've whipped off the air con pump to find the that coolant is coming from a hole in the side of the engine as shown in the picture below. Can anyone possibly te...

Same here.
I'm running the yellow stuff pads and have even used them on track with decent results.
