I went to change the bulbs on my rev3 N/A and they were completely fine, so barring an electrical fault somewhere along the line is it likely to be the switch on the gearbox?
Has anyone got a pic showing where it is possibly as well?
Thanks!

Almost definately the switch on the gearbox, common fault on the MR2's. Should just about be able to get a socket in to reach

Thought as much, best get looking for another one then. Don't want to go to Toyota after last time if I can help it!
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Reverse lights not working
The switch is about £20-£30 from Toyota, and a guide to changing it is here:

Be warned though, it's not as simple as the guide states. In situ, there are a lot more things in the way!!

Ta muchly!
I had a quick look the other day and noticed a stray connector not connected to anything... Now I know exactly where the switch is I can see whether the switch is actually knackered or whether it's just not connected to anything lol

if switch knackered then i think you will have charging problems; check ECU IGN fuse.
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Reverse lights not working
If i remember correctly, the switch is only a 2 pin so if you wanted to be 100% sure before you got a new switch, short out the 2 pins and switch on the ignition. Reverse lights should illuminate if the switch is the problem.
Another test you can do to ensure that the switch is at fault and not something internal to the gearbox is to select reverse and check for continuity across the 2 pins on the switch. There should be little to no resistance.
Mark.
