Re: Whats the going price for rev3 rear lights with....

Got myself a set of S/H Rev3 rear lights, complete with all the wiring looms and bulbs, a centre panel complete with reverse lights, MR2 logo and cylinder lock. In fact the whole lot in absolutely outstanding condition ! No fancy Toyota prices, No messing about with fancy eBay prices and No purchasi...

Re: Whats the going price for rev3 rear lights with....

Well, according my dealer today it's quite a wadge less than £450 including VAT - hence my valuation of secondhand at £190.

I believe there's a myth that they cost more new than is the case, and I'm talking about full retail prices, not trade.

Re: Whats the going price for rev3 rear lights with....

Went to see my local Toyman today to find out the cost of everything required to carry out a Rev3 rear light conversion to my Rev2. This includes the 2 rear light units, 2 repeaters, looms, bulbs fixing kit, centre panel + reversing lights, MR2 logo and new lock assembly, etc. and it is all still av...

MR2's in Breakers Yards

Would it be helpful to us all if we listed the name, phone number and location of any traditional breakers yards throughout the UK that we have recently seen an MR2 in been broken for spares ? Obviously there would be little point in listing the already well known specialists. Perhaps details of the...

Re: Window tinting? Forget it!

Thanks for all the interest and opinions on Window Tinting. Seems to be pretty well evenly divided between those that will abide by the Law and those that have gone ahead and had it done and blow the consequencies. My decision? The Film has been collected by my Local Refuse Operatives and good ridda...

Window tinting? Forget it!

Recently purchased a Window Tinting Kit off eBay to treat my Mk2 to the 'Cool Look'. Subsequently spent a lot of time making up accurate paper patterns of the windows (The rear one alone is quite a challenge !) and was just about to start fitting the film when I clicked onto a number of internet lin...

Will there be any UK Mk2's left soon?

Judging by the number of Mk2 cars for auction on eBay that are accident damaged, breaking for spares etc, I wonder just how many of the original 30000 registered UK cars have survived ?
Could be becoming a rare endangered species I imagine.

Re: ABS

Hi Ian,
I've already been and had a look - 2 pipes only, so no ABS on mine then.
Many thanks for your speedy help and super pictures - Who needs Haynes (If you could get one) with members like you ? ! ! !

ABS

I'm new to the MR2 scene, and the 1993 dated Handbook that came with my 1994 Rev 2 UK T-Bar goes into the intricacies of the ABS system and warning lights etc. No warning lights come on in my car when I switch on the ignition or when I'm driving and I thought that pre Rev 3 UK cars did not have it f...

Re: Door bulb replacement

Many thanks johnnymr2. Job now done and your help was invaluable. Another problem I have is that when I did have the n/s door panel off, I discovered three wires in a plastic sleeve, all mainly green in colour but with the individual trace of white, blue and red disconnected and with no connection b...

Re: Door bulb replacement

I realise this was posted some time ago, but did you ever overcome the problem and find out how to get to the door courtesy light bulbs ?
I currently have the same problem and any help would be appreciated from any member.
Thanks.
