I vote angle grinder ... never fails. Replacements are cheap enough, and if they were bad enough to need cutting of then they could do with being replaced.
I think 2gr mk1 is going to be, xxxx your pants fast. Still not convinced that a poor little mk1 chassis will handle all that power on a track. ..... But would love a left seat in one, see how it compares to my mk 1.5
rear calipers are sticking don't think so matey. Handbrake light is also the brake-fluid low-level indicator. Either your handbrake switch is knackered, or the brake fluid is low. As for the car dieing when you switch everything on - what is the Voltage meter (top-left dial on instrument panel) sho...
I have a mix of Prothane and Superflex on my car. The Prothane are so hard I wouldn't dare put them on the strut rods because of the harsh ride, I'd go Superflex all the way. Can't you drill holes in the Prothane bushes to soften them up a bit? Can you not just get cheep superflex bushes from the U...

Battery voltage with the engine running should be about 13.8V, so it does sound like the alternator may be on the way out. Check the battery earth first though, as this can affect the reading if its dodgy Is that taking a taking the reading across the battery terminals with engine running at 2k rpm...

My handbrake light won't go out, even when I manually push the switch in. All electrics work. But on the battery that with the came car if you turn everything on when idling the voltage drops any the car slowly dies. I have put in a known good battery, and it still seams to be draining the battery. ...

Engine for sounds and goes good even having 153k on the clock. I am a little worried about the alternat...
