Re: Welding Leamington/ Coventry area

Thanks Patrick, whereabouts in Cov are they? As it might be easier to go down and show them what needs to be done.

Car's just failed it's mot on some rust round the suspension chassis mount points on both sides, and round the master brake cylinder. I don't think it's too much but my garage don't really do ...

Re: Fuel Rail Leak

I don't think it's the lower connection, I guess the o-ring would be a Toyota only part?

Fuel Rail Leak

Just getting the car ready so I can start using it again for the summer, and I've noticed I'm getting a bit of fuel leaking around the fuel injector rail. It's on the near side of the rail : http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l309/silentk_2006/013.jpg It looks like it's leaking where the fuel pressur...

Re: ST 185 Brake conversion

I've got the single pot ST185 callipers on the front of my mostly standard MK1b (the only mods are new shocks and springs, and braided hoses). The reason I've got them is that basically it worked out just as cheap as refurbing the existing brakes, which were terrible. I got the callipers for 50 quid...

Re: IMOC & Mk1 Club Trackday - 13th September 2008

Am really looking forward to this, first track day this year. Will be good seeing you again :thumleft: Thanks, it'll be good to be on track with some MK1's :D In addition to Bens' list, there's also a handy exhaust place at Spur End, just off the Wilford Bridge Rd in Melton (on the way back to Wood...

Re: IMOC & Mk1 Club Trackday - 13th September 2008

Am really looking forward to this, first track day this year. The weather looks as though it might be ok as well.

Will be the first time I've driven the car on track with the new suspension, ST185 callipers, braided hoses and decent tyres that all went on over the winter. Should be fun :D

I'd love a supercharger, but can't quite afford it at the mo. Wonder how much I could sell the family dog for :)

Re: Celica ST165 calipers under 15" wheels?

Yeah, the standard brakes are FUBAR, but after working out the costs for a proper refurb kit, new standard sized pads, discs, etc, it only works out around 25% more expensive to go for bigger calipers all round. I drive pretty hard, so I would rather spend the money now, than refurb the standard br...

Re: replacement front shocks

I've just replaced my shocks with KYB's all round (with Fensport springs) and have found them pretty good, not too hard. Espescially compared to the TRD coilovers I had on my old GT4! One of the inserts I took out of the front is an almost new BOGE insert which the previous owner had installed 2 yea...

Steering Column

Anyone know how to tighten the screws/ bolts in the steering column, shown in the diagram below (I think they're part number 91611-60818) : http://opc.mr2oc.com/online_parts_catalog/Handling/steering%20column.GIF The problem is the top of them are completely smooth and there isn't anything to get an...

Re: Whats this connector for?

It's a sun sensor I think, for the climate control. My MK2 and the GT4 had sensors like that, so that it can turn the air con up when the sun is out.
