Re: [Mk2] [NA] HSD COILOVERS fitted, Front springs jumping every turn of the wheel???
Hi I have this issue with my HSD's I contacted driftworks and after much back and forth, they told me they would accept to take them back. I didnt really want to return them, as it would mean fitting another suspension set, and paying mega postage as they are heavy, didnt seem worth it to me. The de...

Re: HSD Dualtech spring twanging when turning

Re: rev3 cold idle speeds
Mine idles 1500 cold slowly rising to 2000 too, only for a minute though, would love to know how to sort this out, but other than that, she runs pretty nice, and once warmed up its ~900rpm. Gonna chane my ecu temp sensor but Im not sure this will do anything, think it is quite normal. Does anyones r...

Re: HSD Dualtech spring twanging when turning
Thanks glimitedmr2, are those mono pros? does the spring cup move up as you adjust the preload, or is the preload already set on those? On my fronts, the springs go all the way up to the top mount, like the standard rear ones in your pic. Took on off today to take a pic, will send it to driftworks. ...

Re: tyre sizes
I think on 17's you will need to be careful with clearance against the spring cup on the front. I have a 215/40/17 tyre on the front to clear the cup, that is on an NA though, not sure if its different for the turbo. For the rear I have 235/45/17 but would have probably gone for a lower profile if I...

Re: HSD Dualtech spring twanging when turning
Ive spoken to driftworks and they are really good, but they are advising me this is a normal symptom of new coilovers, and they will bed in over time, I hope they are right, but it feels like its binding way to hard, I cant post pics here as I havent posted enough. What type of bearing would there b...

HSD Dualtech spring twanging when turning
Hello everybody, Im going to try explain this as best I can, maybe try to get some pics to help too. I have recently installled HSD DT coilovers, and the front springs were twanging like mad as I go from lock to lock, as if the top mount bearing is binding, I was told there is a wearing in process, ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] tein superstreet vs HSD coilovers?
Hi, I've got the HSD dual techs, and they are 8kg/mm rear, and 5kg/mm front. Ride comfort is totally subjective but I live in London and have to navigate speed bumps and lots of broken road surface and I cant really fault them. IMO definately not too firm for everyday road use. (Mines an NA if it ma...
