Re: Alternator belt snapped

no, it doesn't mean the alternator is dead...
just that it wont get any drive to recharge the battery until you replace the belt.

rev2, yes they will fit rev3 , and vice versa on most counts...
(but high lift cams may not fit a rev2 head with machining)

3S engine number is located at the flywheel end of the block under the water elbow: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d38/skintbinlid/ST185%20bottom%20end%20rebuild/th_061119camerapics080.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d38/skintbinlid/ST185%20bottom%20end%20rebuild/th_061119camerapics073.jpg ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] using st205 head and hks 264 cams is there a belt tooth issue?

TBH i dont think it matters gary, its a rev 1/2 sump modded for arp rod bolts, but the oil pump with pressed pulley is located on the block upper left of the crank pulley. steve Coolio. If that is the case then you are probably running a 5sfe pump or 5sfe oil pump pulley :thumleft: >> as rev 3 oil ...

have you got a rev 3 sump, or just a smaller oil pump pulley?

Re: ST165 calipers

i usually just buy cheapo red stuff pads of ebay ( not RRP) .
my grooved discs eat pads, and then the discs warp easily when trying to stop 1500kg of 4WD Celica. Hence i usually buy new every year. I would love a BBK! or a lightweight AW11 :P
