Moving to a Turbo

All,

I'm looking to replace my very tired UK NA (178,000) with a much younger turbo.

I plan on moving the modifications over to the new car however I wondered if you have any suggestions on other things that are worth having/keeping

So far I have thought of:

1. UK clocks
2.
3.
4.
5.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Rear Arch Rolling

Well I've just drawn up the designs for one, so will have a chat to my mate who can more than likely source me the materials and do any fabrication. I reckon this is a go-er tho! If poss could you measure from the center of the wheel to the edge of the front and rear arches please? :thumleft: edit:...

Skateboard wheel would do the job.

I have an old MK2 if you wanted to try it out

Re: [All] [Generic] mr2 speed flaps

let me just state that i dont know much about aerodinamics ( if thats how you spell it ) but they dont look angled to flow the air anywhere. so the air flow is just hiting a wall of plastic.. how does this help? Well assuming the aerodynamicists (and that *is* how you spell it) know their stuff the...

Re: [All] [Generic] This is probably a stupid question

I do a lot of welding both now and in the past. Normally the metal that these keyrings are made up of are not suitable for welding, putting a hot torch near them for brazing usually results in them melting. I would suggest a strong adhesive rather than any form of welding/brazing. Thanks for the re...

Re: [All] [Generic] This is probably a stupid question

I have no doubt it can be done, but it all depends on the time involved, the steering wheel you are using, where the horn placement is etc etc. Interesting little project though. This is a replacement for a very boring centre badge on standard Toyota wheel. It will all work fine if I can get the pi...

[All] [Generic] This is probably a stupid question

But here goes... I'm trying to make a custom centerpeice for a steering wheel, would it be possible to adapt this keyring by removing the keychain etc and welding/brazing two threaded pins so it could be bolted through a thin sheet of metal  The keyring is about 35mm wide see here http://cgi.e...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Upgrading the ARBs- a good idea on a road car or not??

I have the Whitelines on my car. IMO you don't want too stiff a bar on the road and as the Whitelines are adjustable you can run them soft for general use (still a good amount over standard) crank them up for the track. The price is very good from Demon Tweeks with the Premium members discount (even...
