Re: [Mk2] [NA] Car overheated big time!
Okay, thanks mate. I'll leave the car at work overnight and assess what options I have for tomorrow. I've still to check if there is water in the expansion tank after checking it at the weekend. If not, I will bring the coolant in with me tomorrow. When the car was moving, the temp gauge was going d...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Car overheated big time!
Thanks for the reply mate. I have about 10 miles to travel, usually during rush hour. I will stay back at work though and drive home when it is quiet in case I break down. My only concern is that with the temp gauge going off the scale, will it not cause problems for my cylinder head, i.e warp it? C...

[Mk2] [NA] Car overheated big time!
Hi folks, Not been around for a while now. Coming into work this morning my car decided it was going to overheat and the temp gauge went off the scale! The ironic thing is I noticed the other day that the corrugation had started to give on my radiator so I planned on getting a new one this weekend. ...

Re: Xbox 360 Swap Shop
Hi Mate, I would be interested in Crackdown or Hitman. I have NFS Carbon, King Kong and Condemmed. I would also like Viva Pinata too .. Cheers James Hi mate, None of those games take my fancy to be honest. Don't really know what kind of games I'm looking for. Cheers though. Just bought Vi...

Re: Xbox 360 Swap Shop
Anyone interested in swapping some more games?

I have the following I'd be willing to swap:

Crackdown
Hitman: Blood Money
PGR 3
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1

I quite fancy the idea of Viva Pinata if anyone wants to swap.

[Mk2] [Generic] Anyone missing some rear spats?
I got a set of rear spats delivered today that shouldn't be for me. I have an inclination that bluemr2gts may have got his addresses mixed up as I have bought something from him recently. If you could post in here and I'll cross refer with him and get a forwarding address - as much as I'd like to ke...

Re: Livingston Shell Garage - Fit bird
Yeah, it was yesterday. Probably about 4:30pm. She must like sinking the foot, heard the exhaust blaring all the way up towards the A71, sounds pretty nice. =P~ Is it in Edinburgh you stay or on the outskirts? I've seen one or two red Mk2's kicking about that area, this was the first close up. Tell ...

I wouldn't have noticed my car either sitting next to that.
Mine is fairly standard

Re: Livingston Shell Garage - Fit bird
I was in my Mk2 also, the one in my avatar. It was the Shell garage at the Lizzie Brice roundabout just off the A71. I was directly behind the car at the pumps waiting on it moving. It was an 'M' plate that had a single exit aftermarket exhaust and was sitting on some 17 or 18" 5 spokes and had...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Tyre question - general opinion
I'm running Khumo Ecsta's on a set of 17's and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Probably a fair bit cheaper than the tyres you have mentioned as well considering they are top of the range for the brand.

The majority of people tend to replace the leads with original Toyota ones, they seem to be the best.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Car running rough after sitting for a while
I'm not really a mechanical man but could it be something to do with the O2 sensor?

I had a similar type problem with erractic revs on a previous car and a new O2 sensor seemed to clear it up.
