For thos with similar symptons tried the coil pack and hey presto she is running perfect, turns out the earth problem on the starter relay is unrelated.

Still not having much luk here however the problem is getting worse. The car now misfires regualarly at idle to the point that it will stall.
Going to try replacing the coil pack first.

Gents I am suffering fairly heavy smoke only after releasing the throttle with the turbo making boost. Is this typical of the seals in the turbo failing or would this smoke constantly? It def sees turbo related as I can drive without any boost and theres n smoke.
