Folks Ive got a really strange problem that hopefully someone can help me with.

Basically the engine was out of the car and had a new clutch and turbo at the same time.

Put it all back together and she ran fine but required the AVCR to be reset.

After a few days this was done and the car was making a stable 15pi and okay for around 3 weeks.

During this few weeks the only issue I noticed was with the starter, in a morning it would just click and not engage, after trying for ages sometime 10 mins it would eventually engage.

After this happened in a morning it would be okay for the rest of the day.

So Ive been away for a few weeks and returned to find that it would not engage at all so measured the voltage going to the starter solenoid and it was only 5 volts.

So then checked the starter relay in the boot to find it was receiving a good 12V permanent and good 12V signal from the ignition with no/little resistance in the starter solenoid signal wire.

The earth line however was not grounded so ran a line to earth and hey presto the starter engaged.

Didnt start instantly which it usually does but after 30 seconds of cranking she fired an seemed okay.

Then when taking onto the road everything was fine until starting to make boost, got to around 5 psi and started cutting out as if its a fuel cut or overboosting.

Driving without boost or little load is fine though.

Im really stuck as to where to start looking but guess that the starter relay may share its earth with something else which means the ecu is getting the incorrect signal?
Sorry its so long winded but Im really stuck,
Thanks Craig.
