Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oxygen/fuel mix must be wrong?

So apart from the water temp the figures i posted look ok? In regards to that i think its get a incorrect reading because the temp gauge was just below half at the time. It had reached 70 degrees after about 5 mins of being on so i doubt it's right. Mike - The car is not a rev 3, it's a mk2 rev 1 ch...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oxygen/fuel mix must be wrong?

It was last working about 6 months ago, was removed from a mk1 mr2 and then sat in may garage for a few months, then put into mine about a month ago. Nothing on the engine was changed apart from a new engine loom needed fitting because the loom was previously for the mk1 chassis. No servicing was do...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oxygen/fuel mix must be wrong?

Not picking up any knock on the hand commander, but when the engine starts to hunt i have been turning it off because something really isnt right and i didnt want to cause any damage.

No improvment with the settings changed to what the should be using 540 as previous injector size.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oxygen/fuel mix must be wrong?

stock injectors are 430cc aren't they? well so the information i found on google led me to believe anyway. I will change them now to the correct setting.

That wouldnt cause the problems i am having though would it? Wouldnt that throw the knock detection up on the hand commander as well?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oxygen/fuel mix must be wrong?

53.75 and 0.20 for the latency is what the injectors are set for. I cant check for error codes because i have a pfc plugged in and cant use my standard ecu because of the bigger injectors. Stock fpr yes The whole setup was taken from another mr2 being broken and put into my car which was previously ...

Re: 2 part paint question:

Dont know the paint code but a google search should find it for you in a few mins. As for the paint recently bought mine for about £26, not including the thinners or primer or lacquer of corse though. Thats just the basecoat itself. If you ring autopaint in st helens (google it) they will get the pa...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Missfiring on idle...

All other problems sorted with the car now, even code 24 gone!! No codes on ecu and all seems ok apart from this dam missfire. I have put on another distributor, coil pack, cap, rotor arm and leads and the problem remains the same. I forgot to gap the plugs when i put them in the engine, but i dont ...

Take the wheel off and see if you can locate the knocking noise, keep an eye out for split ball joints and obvious wear.

Then post back with what you find...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] crank shaft beaings... help please.

Just rebuilt a rev 3 engine with 153,000 km some in miles too and i replaced everything because i thought it would need it! When i changed the bearings there was pretty much no wear on them at all, so was a bit pointless really, infact the whole engine didnt really need a rebuild at all. So with any...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Code 24 removal??

Air Intake Temp sensor!! I have this error code on my rev 3, i have put in a working sensor (so i'm told anyway from the guy i bought it off) The code is still there after a reset, i believe the code is causing my idling issues. I want rid of this code, can i not just trick the ecu into thinking eve...
