[Mk2] [Turbo] Code 24 removal??

Post by Neil_87 »

Air Intake Temp sensor!!

I have this error code on my rev 3, i have put in a working sensor (so i'm told anyway from the guy i bought it off)

The code is still there after a reset, i believe the code is causing my idling issues.

I want rid of this code, can i not just trick the ecu into thinking everything is ok? Perhaps solder in a resistor or something?

What do you guys do that fit aftermarket air filters?

Aftermarket air filters have the hole for the air temp sensor in there.

If you are sure you cleared the code correctly and it has come back then you need to be testing that sensor you've got - an easy way is to swap it for the sensor on the engine lid as they are identical.

If it comes back with a known good sensor then you need to be checking continuity on the wires that attach to it.

That sorted it! Cheers lads, chopped the plug off, cut the wire back (was a bit corroded) and connected into the sensor with some spades and code 24 was gone!! woop woop!
