The gearbox is there and you can start the car. You could even drive it if you had to.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 3 turbo rear clip price?
How much is a rev 3 turbo clip worth. Not including the downpipe, exhaust and gearbox. It has a hks dumpvalve, forge acutator and apexi air intake.

Problem solved It was the exhaust manifold gasket as 1 stud had broken. I striped it all down and replaced 4 studs all the nuts and gaskets. She now runs sweet as a nut

All manifold studs are tight. I went to remove the downpipe and found 1 nut missing, 1 nut spun loose (right at the other end of the thread) and the others weren't that tight. I removed the downpipe and inspected and felt the exhaust turbine and all seamed O.K, spun nice and smooth and only minimal ...

It sounds more like the inlet side of the turbo. Could it be the turbo?

It almost sounds like a belt is slipping. There is a nut missing from my downpipe.

Funny you should say that as I've got a small leak when cold. Still got the problem. I'll order a genuine gasket.
