Re: Radweld
K-Seal worked a treat on my Astra redtop.
The heater matrix burst, the waterpump gasket was weeping and it'd use 1 litre of water a day.
I K-Sealed it, and never used a drop of water again! That was over ayear ago!
I wouldnt wanna do it to a nice car though...

Aggressive Diff causing Torque Steer?
I have recently bought an MR2 from Rogue Motorsport, which happens to be a V6 and was in the for sale section on here. I will be picking it up in a couple of weeks. I had been informed that the LSD fitted to the car was very aggressive, and advised by Partick and Matt that the car have a standard ge...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Ignition Wire
Take you CD player out...
If you have an aftermarket one, with an ISO block, then look out for the RED wire.
Basically to make the head unit work there are 3 wires. Permanent live (yellow), ignition live (red) and earth (black).
Hope this helps!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Want to Upgrade Suspension
Eibach or Tein springs won't sacrifice too much ride quality. You could also upgrade the ARB's and strut braces for improved handling. Ive put Tein springs/standard shocks on mine, and trust me, you definitely sacrifice ride quality! Even on standard rev 3 wheels/tyres it is very hard and catches e...

If the spray job was done properly it wouldnt look too bad, but that cloudy, patchy finish looks w*nk to be fair.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Want to Upgrade Suspension
Apparently for road use, the best setup is Eibach springs, coupled with Bilstein Yellow shocks as they are a bit more forgiving than coilovers.
However, i would rather have Adjustable coilovers and wouldnt want to spend the same amount of money for fixed rate dampers.

Depends on budget mate.
For about £800 or so you can get a new set of Tein Superstreets from Rogue or Ebay if you dare.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] which N/A exhaust
The mongoose system is pretty quiet, and also, in my opinion, looks a bit gash, but the quality is top notch The Blueflame is a ever so slightly louder, looks better with the angled tips, but is still not loud enough for me, however, is great quality. Japspeed sounds great, looks AWESOME, but there ...

Ben
This is the full sports, with straight through boxes, no cat and 2" bore.
That video really doesnt give a true reflection of how loud it is.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Getting rid of power steering whine
Have you tried it without the power cap? The next thing to do is uprate the big three. Basically the main power leads on the car... * Negative battery terminal to chassis * Negative battery terminal to engine * Main power from alt to battery If you upgrade all these to 0 gauge cable you'll be onto a...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Getting rid of power steering whine
For a start, get rid of the power cap. They do nothing, other than put strain on the electrical system and also give other losses due to possible bad connections. Use a good quality 0 gauge cable and run it into a distribution block, then straight to the amps. Also, the earths from the amps should g...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] New Alpine 9880R, but what to do about rear speaker bass distortion.
The standard speakers are nothing more than crap to be honest mate. Judging by your description i would say you are running the passive system, therefore you wont have any of the standard fit subs, which is why you are lacking in bass. My advice would be to buy some 6.5" components and put them...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wheel Sizes
The only problem is, you wont get a 245 tyre on an 8J rim.
I wouldnt go any more than 235 with a low profile.
Other than that, they will be fine mate, although you may need to spacer the rears to make them sit flush with the arch, but its not essential.
