Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Refitting Original Recirc Valve - help needed

Well swapped the Blitz for the original recirc today and it appears to have stopped the problem of the car stalling. Also a much better gear change and there isn't as much lag. One thing I did notice is that on full boost the standard boost gauge didn't quite reach the top in 2nd although it did in ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Refitting Original Recirc Valve - help needed

No I don't believe it had a lightened flywheel. The have adjusted the blitz bov both ways and tightened the screw as far as it can go. Its not a big problem and the car will only stall if you have been accelerating hard in 1st or 2nd and then braking hard to a standstill. I just want to see if remov...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Refitting Original Recirc Valve - help needed

Hi Paul, no its been there since I got it. Its not a major problem and the car generally runs fine but if you are braking quickly after high revs/acceleration the revs dip and sometimes it stalls (only happened once or twice). The BOV appears to be the most likely cause and I could live with it but ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Refitting Original Recirc Valve - help needed

Thanks. I think that is where I am getting confused as the Blitz appears to be screwed at the top, but there might have been an adapter plate or something.

I will be recirculating as the pipe will be going back on to connect into the air intake.

Thanks for your help.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Refitting Original Recirc Valve - help needed

Yip, I have that pipe. I just wasnt sure how the recirc value connected back on as in the pics I have seen of a standard engine there doesn't appear to be any screws? so I wasn't sure if it just pushed in.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Refitting Original Recirc Valve - help needed

I recently bought a rev 2 with a Blitz DV already fitted but I'm not entirely happy with how the car is running as its stalling when coming to an abrupt stop which I am putting down to the effect of the DV on a Rev 2. The original recirc value was supplied with the car and from studying pics I think...

Standard Suspension and DV Query

First of all Happy New Year to everyone... Picked up a rev 2 a month ago and had it out for the first time today getting a few bits and pieces done. First of all I had the wheels off to get rebalanced as I had a vibration at 70mph and the shocks are black with yellow writing that says Bilstein Toyot...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] To BOV or not BOV ?

Just bought a Rev 2 that has a blitz bov fitted. Was out for a drive this morning and noticed that when drive up to a road end or traffic lights and coming of the throttle and onto the brakes the car stalled (revs dipped to be 500rpm). Could this be because of the BOV as I had no issues with it up u...

Re: Miles to a tank

Thanks guys. My overall journey is about 400miles so I will look for a petrol station around 200-220 miles and that should see me home.

Miles to a tank

Hi everyone, picking my my new Rev 2 turbo on Friday from Stoke-on-trent for a long drive home to N Ireland via Stranraer. One issue with the car is that the fuel hand is stuck (dials recently replaced with lockwood dials) so I won't be able to tell how much fuel I have left. So driving reasonably s...
