Standard Suspension and DV Query

Post by dazz_ni45 »

First of all Happy New Year to everyone...

Picked up a rev 2 a month ago and had it out for the first time today getting a few bits and pieces done.

First of all I had the wheels off to get rebalanced as I had a vibration at 70mph and the shocks are black with yellow writing that says Bilstein Toyota. Is this standard suspension or an upgrade?

Secondly when coming off boost and coming to a road end or lights when I come off the throttle. brake and apply the clutch when I come to a stop the revs dip to about 200rpm and the cars stalls (not all the time). I have done a bit of reading about rev 2's and BOV's and have come to the conclusion that this could be the cause.

When revving the car in neutral the BOV goes off, is this normal?

I got a bags of bits of pieces with the car and I think the original recirc BOV is in there. Does anyone have a picture of it fitted or a re-fitting guide and I would like to try it back on.

Many thanks

Pic of a stock bov.

Should be easy enough to re fit.

The bov will operate in neutral if you rev hard enough for turbo to cut in . #-o

Yep, sounds like your Rev2 is more fussy than others and will actually stall. Some BOV's have conversion kits to allow them to vent back into the intake - sounds like what you need.

I had a blitz BoV, but made my own recirc kit. Worked a treat :thumleft:
