Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting aircon?
To get all of the wiring/plugs/sensors/ECU/distribution servo's & all the mechanical bits you would ideally need a complete JDM car of the same revision as yours to take the parts from. It will require the dashboard & frunk stripping completely, all under trays removed & possibly more (f...

Re: Air con condenser info
If your using a 2nd have condenser or one that has been sitting about for a while I'd definitely take it to an AC place & ask them to flush it through with something before you use it. Also, if using a new or flushed condesner , add a few cc's of oil to it before fitting - details are in the Toy...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Chargecooler radiator while retaining aircon
I fitted a Fiat Cinquecento radiator in front of my AC condenser.
Fitment was fairly easy, no cutting of bumper parts required

Re: Which capacitor does what?
Worth noting that you are supposed to use low ESR capacitors when you replace these. I could only find them in economical small quantities by ordering from digikey in the US (packs of 10 iirc) It is a problem on many Toyotas of this vintage: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-1st-and-2nd-gen-1990-20...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Gearchange at high revs
To check clutch drag: warm car up, stop on flat surface, rev to 5k+ in gear with clutch down and see if car moves at all. I'd suspect clutch adjustment causing slight drag or wrong gearbox oil. I really don't think these boxes take well to specialist gearbox oils e.g. redline shockproof. The MR2 ped...

Did you clean the hub face thoroughly of all corrosion
& ensure it was smooth with emery paper prior to fitting the discs?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Replacing stock CT20
Could just be standard blowby? My MR2 & Celica always had a bit of a mist in the intake piping, and a pool of oily gunk would accumulate in the intake pipe just before the turbo if left untouched for a year. The stock catch can is just a small oil separator & relies on the blowby gas expandi...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Correct way to disable TVSV??
It would be cool if there was a way of increasing max boost while keeping the OEM safety control of the VSV operational.
Anyone with an electronics background ever given it a go?

You can get an Exedy clutch for the Celica GT4 (Believe MR2 turbo clutch is the same?) from Eurocarparts for £103 delivered... http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Toyota_Celica_2.0_1994/p/car-parts/car-transmission/clutch-and-associated-parts/clutch-kit/?641822080&1&8a3f37cfbe8fe715042ee43994e...

Re: GT-Four "WRC" inlet manifold and throttle body
I'm afraid the water injector solenoid will probably be siezed/rusted up solid after all this time, and by all accounts the distribution it offers between cylinders & spray pattern isn't all that great anyway. It is a dual outlet design. If you are using an ST205 chargecooler, your best bet for ...

Re: OEM Style Boost Gagues
I replaced the circuit board that drives the stock boost gauge with my own board with an AVR. The boost gauge is much more responsive now and it's now calibrated exactly how I want it to be. It's driven from the same MAP sensor signal the ECU uses for fuelling so it's give a good indication of what...

Re: Protecting the underside of my Mk 2, what are my options
I agree on the sills. Peter advised me to get into the car, remove the back quarter interior trim on each side, whip out the foam filling each sill and spray some waxoyl or similiar in there. Is a 30 min job and gives you peace of mind. This, combined with peeling back the boot carpet and spraying ...
