Re: MOT fail only on emissions, 10x the limit!! FAIL SHEET INFO ADDED
Hi n9thx Where in Staffordshire did you get your mot done? I just has my 93 turbo fail on emissions at a garage in Stafford. After reading some post about emissions I think they have tested my car against the wrong figures. Engine speed : 2500 - 3000 rpm Co. : =< 0.30%. 1.56%. Fail HC. : =< 200ppm. ...

Re: Legal advice - NEW DEVELOPMENTS - Further Update!
Hi Sam I would either ignore his letter or if its worrying you either go and see citizen advice or it might cost you a little (not too much though, I know some soliciters even do the first visit for free) beat him to the punch and go see a soliciter then see what he does. Personally I would say sold...

Re: Legal advice - NEW DEVELOPMENTS - Further Update!
Ask him to produce the old brake parts so you can check them. I like the 2p idea too  You could use 2 1p coins and make it in to a smiley face by sticking them to some card and drawing a big smile. You could also ask him to send some pics of the new exhaust and brakes as your interested in seei...

Re: Rear brake pads
Brakes all sorted. Looks like the problem was me  Tried to put old pads back on and hit the same problem, so it was definatey something I was doing wrong. I put the new pads back in and push the caliper pretty hard and it suddenly slipped over the rotor bracket allowing me to put the bolt in. ...

Re: Legal advice - NEW DEVELOPMENTS - Further Update!
Mate if its sold as seen he cant really come back to you and ask for money for the repairs. I have just bought a car (private sale) and if something goes wrong with it I wouldnt dream of going back the person thats sold the car to me (unless it turns out to be stolen or a ringer/cut and shunt). Some...

Re: Rear brake pads
No just ordered the pads from them.
The pads fit size wise it's just the thickness that seems wrong. It's probably something I am doing wrong but to be honest there is not much to changing the brakes.
So much for it being a quick job.

Re: Rear brake pads
No worries mate didn't take it that way any way so all good. Although it did take me 10 mins of trying to pull the calliper up to realise i had left the hand break on  Yeah it seems strange to me too. Wouldn't rule out me doing something wrong but have changed pads on a mr2 a few times before ...

Re: Rear brake pads

Rear brake pads
Hi Are Rev 2/3 rear brake pads thinner than rev 1 pads? I am just in the process of changing the rear break pads. I have ordered the pads from brakes international and came to fit them today. All was going well till I tried to put the calliper back over the disc. With the new pads in the calliper ha...

If so would you know a rough ball park figure for supplying the Kit (with the DL1 datalogger) and fitting if you do that?, need to have a think about which sensors to go for. Defiantley going to go for iol pressure/temp and water temp, any other suggestions ...

Hi I just picked up a Rev2 Turbo fully forged and running 400+ bhp, but has no gauges in it apart from after market boot gauge.
