Re: Is it me or MR2s going UP in price?

I tested the waters in selling my rev5 turbo a couple of months ago. One owner in japan and me as first uk owner, completely standard and absolutely gorgeous in cosmos blue. Had a few mikey mouse offers, but looking at how hard decent ones are to find and how immaculate this is then im seriously thi...

Re: Possible Tyre problems - Demon Tweeks

It felt lighter on the front but when you changed the rears it felt better??..... :-s I think to be honest the majority of this problem was in your head, and you were never going to be happy until you got what you originally wanted. Glad it's sorted for you anyway. P.S. Any local motor factors would...

Re: Possible Tyre problems - Demon Tweeks

Nothing wrong with the tyres you've had put on. 195 is perfectly acceptable for a 6.5J.

No problem running same size tyres all round either.

Re: Failed Mot for jap numberplate?

Hang on, the MOT tester's manual mentions the car registration date, not manufactured date! Registration date is still the same, the date of UK registration means nothing. For example a car in Japan made in 1993 then registered in January 1994 will still be given an L-registered plate, it doesnt ma...

Revision 5 Cosmos Blue Turbo

I thought i'd better start a project thread on this seeing though i've owned it for a while now. It's completely standard and absolutely mint, and that is exactly how it's going to stay. No bodykits, no engine mods, no ice, no nothing..... Just straight out of the factory. For those of you that dont...

Re: MR2 prices will they ever go back up

There are two main problems at the moment, credit situation of this country and the amount of tat for sale, constantly lowering the price of your car. It all depends on how long you want to sit on your car and wait to see what happens. As the turbo's get older and rarer I imagine they will gain in v...

Whats best computer games now?

I was talking to a mate of mine the other week who i've not spoken to in over 18 years. We used to regulaly skip school and play death matches of Doom via modem. I used to love these types of games, just basically destroy everything in sight. I've bearly played any computer games in over 10 years (m...

Re: love this car

Modified-export cars is yet another trading name for a guy who will take your money and you'll never see the car or your money ever again. That car may exist in Japan but it certainly wont belong to him or even be forsale for that fact.

I think they were trading previously as Mamiana Trading.

Re: On a recent business trip to Japan I bought.....

Defintately. When i get chance i'll throw some g-compound on it, cut away a few years of crap, then polish and throw some amazing glaze onto finish.

I forgot how well made these cars were. Definately a true league of their own.

Re: On a recent business trip to Japan I bought.....

Hey Bry glad to hear you've got back into mr-2's, your old one was a real credit to you. Yellow's a fantastic colour though and these mr2's seem to pull it off really well. Believe it or not I asked the woman who owned it the same thing. Aparently clear side lights were a toyota option when buying, ...

Re: On a recent business trip to Japan I bought.....

Thank you. The unfortunate thing about it was I bought the car when the yen was trading at around 200 to the pound, but unfortunately customs takes the value of the car in yen and uses the exchange rate at that time to calculate whats owed, so unfortunately customs was using the current rate of 140 ...

On a recent business trip to Japan I bought.....

......another MR2. Never thought I would own one again, but this one was abit special. Anyway to cut along story short I finally managed to pick it up from the docks yesterday morning, along with several other cars which arent mr2, so no point mentioning them. With the current economic cli...
